Broken foot
At the end of September, I broke my right foot. It hurt very bad that I had to crawl around the hour the first 24 hours until I got to the doctor. I had a stress fracture in my foot at the end of June and as it was healing, I developed tendonitis. I was put in a brace and was told I could do what I wanted exercise wise as long as I wore the brace with a athletic shoe. It was a nice day and so after I walked the kids to school, I went for a walk with Ethan in the stroller. I was going to a grocery store that is a couple of miles from our home to get some medicine for Ashleigh. I thought it would be good to kill two birds with one stone. Get my exercise in and get Ashleigh's medicine. On the way back, I was trying to cross the intersection near the store and since the light was starting to turn red on me, I thought that I would jog the rest of the intersection. On the third step on my right foot, I felt and heard a pop. When I got across, I thought that I just pulled the tendon so I tried to walk it off and then realized I would have to limp. After a few steps of that, I knew I could not walk at all and had to call a neighbor (Chris was in Centerville for work), to come get Ethan and I.
X-rays showed that I broke a whole piece off. I ended up being put in a weight bearing walking boot. I have had to wear it for the last 7 weeks. It has been hard, because I cannot exercise on it, can't drive because I cannot be without the boot but cannot feel the brake or gas. I have had to be taken places by other people, wet weather is a nightmare because I cannot keep it dry, it is heavy and has made my sciatic nerve bother me again, and I sweat in it. I cannot wait til I get out of it. But when I do, I cannot do anything extreme with it so not cardio exercise for 2 months.
My fancy footware.
Chris turns 32
Chris turned 32 on October 1st. We made a stake dinner and I made a cheese cake. He was not feeling well so we made the best of what we could. The kids had fun helping their daddy blow out his candles.
First day of school
Matthew and Ashleigh started first grade this year. They have Ms. Whittington and are together this year. Joshua started preschool at our YMCA CFC. He has 3 main teachers; Ms V, Ms Emma, and Miss Stella but he know other YMCA people as well. He feel like Matthew and Ashleigh by going to school. My how they are growing up.

One year ago yesterday
Well, it has been a year since Ashleigh's Hemangioma removal surgery. Although it looks like she may have to have a touch up surgery later in life, both Ashleigh and us are pretty pleased with the results so far. Ashleigh is such a pretty girl. We are blessed that she is in our home.

He likes his tummy
Ethan like his tummy so much that he rolls on to his tummy as soon as you put him on his back on the floor. When he is asleep, it seems like he wants to be on his side or his back but struggles depending on where he is at when he is asleep. One afternoon when we returned home from church, he fell asleep and I put him in his swing. He ended like this and stayed that way for two hours. It may look UN-comfy but to him it was.
4 months old
Ethan is now 4 months old as of August 9th. I sure miss my small little newborn but he has so much personality it is fun to see.
He loves to smile and gabber. He is drooling puddles which means he is teething. He is rolling around the carpet, spinning, scoots backs, and works his was forward. He love to stand, jump and sit up. He laughs which is so fun. He love his siblings and shows them he does with big smiles.
He loves baths and loves to splash. He always has his fingers in his mouth. He still loves that pacifier and be snuggled.
At his well-check. He weighed: 14lbs 5 oz. and was 25 inches long. He is such a handsome little boy.
We are sure blessed to have him in our home. He is a wonderful addition to our family. We love him very much.
