The name is derived from Kronk's six-volume book series published by Cambridge University Press,
and represents Kronk's in-depth research into the history of comets.

This website provides additional historical information about periodic comets and memorable comets on the past, compiled by Kronk along years.

Recently this website and its content has been transferred to José J. Chambó, who take over preserving these valuable data and expand them in the future.
