Bad picture... cute cards!

Family Home Evening

Image
Tonight we got our 72 hour kits ready. We have been working on it for a while. We take a really long time to get things done! LOL Cory got these nifty bags that are perfect for this. A family in our ward shared a very good piece of advice that during conference they go through their 72 hour kits and change everything out. That is our goal. We also worked on escape plans. It was fun. Christian had a lot of fun as you can see.

Image
Jessica worked really hard to acheive 2nd knight in her class. That meant that she was the 2nd one in her class to pass off all of her times tables. Mrs. Jaggi makes it sooo fun. Thanks!

Field trips

Christian's 1st ever field trip was to the Rosenbruch Wildlife museum.
Jessica went to Zions for her field trip and Cory was able to go with her and then they took a hike up to LaVerkin overlook a little later in the month.
Michael and the rest of the music students at HIS went to Sand Hollow for their field trip. Fun stuff!

May already!

Is anyone else feeling like where in the heck did the last month go? Today I caught myself writing March 1, 2009, so just where did the last 2 months go. Time didn't go by this fast when my kids were little. I spent all that time wishing they were older and here we are... and there we go.....
Whats new? I am teaching the lesson this week- AHHHHH! Basement has had progress, school is almost out, quit pop (well every once in a while I have one), took my grandpa's name to the temple and had him sealed to his parents. The last was the best of all the game. There is nothing like doing your own families work in that wonderful place. The whole week all I could this about was I sure wish I could see my Papa Mel and Grandma Carol at the temple. Guess what? As we were walking in there HE was!!! Papa Mel was married to my dad's mom a looonnng time ago. Even after they divorced he would always stay in touch. He remarried a wonderful lady that called us her own. I always looked forward to their letters and spiritual message they sent every Christmas. Papa Mel sealed our family. He was the living ordinance worker and he still is. They mean soooo much to me. They came over to my mom's for a lunch after their shift at the temple and we were able to catch up. Wow! Family is wonderful. I love them both sooo much. Isn't life great! Cory was able to sit in for my great-grandpa. What a wonderful opportunity. I love the temple. The kids were just themselves this month, no baseball for our family. So that was it. Just like that another month is gone.............
