vacay

We were spoiled this year, we spent almost a month in Palm Desert. Mike stayed 18 days which was HUGE! We had a lovely time as usual, the weather was great, 90 degrees everyday! We had big plans like going to disneyland, the ocean, waterparks, children's museums, but we didn't do any of that...I don't know how we ran out of time to do all of those things.

We went to the turtle park alot, saw our friends Erin and Romney at Jasmines, rode bikes, got yogurt, went to movies, looked for lizards and we ate lots of good food. Here we are at our favorite fish taco place, 'the fisherman's market'

We spent easter there and had a fun hunt. Here are the babes showing off their easter outfits.

We did try some new things this trip. We read about this big lake that was about 20 minutes away, so we packed up and drove to see what it was all about. I don't know if I would even call it a lake, there were signs everywhere saying "Absolutely NO swimming in water" and from the smell, I think it was some sort of sewage plant...

We went for a hike one day up to a big cross that sits ontop of a mountain over looking the valley.

The kids loved the hike and it was something we had never done. We had alot of fun! And little Cali was such a trooper, she walked quite abit of the way on her own.

After a month of swimming the babes were like fish. Sadie ditched her waterwings about halfway into the trip and was diving and swimming just like dave.

We all got pretty dark this trip, and the kids hair really lightened up.

Cali was especially brave in the water. If I wasn't looking she would have her shoes off and be in the water before I had time to even put my towel down. She cruised around the pool with her waterwings, jumping off the side just like the other kids.

And finally it was wonderful to have a month off of cooking, cleaning and grocery shopping. I have been extra tired the past 17 weeks.... I was able to lounge in the pool and relax alot, I better rest up now because Baby #4 will be arriving in October.

We are happy here in the sun!

We have been in Palm Desert for a week now, and are really enjoying the heat, especially since it is snowing at home. The babes are loving the water, David is diving, flipping, swimming, and floating!

We bought this lifejacket for Cali at Costco, but since it is pink, Sadie has claimed it for herself.

We got some bikes to keep here. The babes love riding all over and notice Sadie's bike... no training wheels. She is riding like a pro now.

Grapefruit season is just ending and we have been eating them like crazy. On a walk we found a tree loaded with grapefruit. So this morning we went to stock up. Mike picked the tree dry.

Lizards run around here everywhere. We got some nets, and I caught the babes one. I think I enjoyed the lizard hunt more than they did.

My brother Carl left a few days ago, and Hill arrives today. It is nice to be here and relax!
