Calan's First Day of School PPCD Year 2

Wake Up Calan!

We gotta go to school!

Outfit and backback all ready to go!

Look at that handsome boy!

His backpack is as big as he is!

Lawson - 5 months

I make Daddy smile.

I tried rice cereal and I liked it ok.

 

Then Mommy gave me prunes and I LOVED them!

 

Still love jumpin in my horsey.

And of course I'm stylin.

I am sleeping in my crib at night!

Mommy's Notes:

 

This month you had many firsts. You tried rice cereal and solid food for the first time! You liked rice cereal ok but you weren't too excited about it. But a few weeks later, mommy gave you some prunes and you opened your mouth like a little baby bird! You also had pears and peaches and peas. Your absolute favorite by far is the pears. You can't leave home without them. :)

You laughed at Daddy swinging you in his arms back and forth and you laughed at mommy singing you "There was a farmer who had a dog and B-I-N-G-O was his name-o." 

You are holding your head up nicely and even sit unsupported for a few seconds!  You still love to feel your feet and grab them when you are on your back.

You are now sleeping through the night but refuse to go down until about 10 or 11pm! 

Sometimes you are restless at night and want your paci so mommy gets up and puts it back in your mouth. You are starting to prefer to sleep on your back so most of the time we flip you over and put you on your tummy and you are out like a light!

Your milk intolerance is starting to show again, so we have switched you to soy.

You seem to love it so we are going to stay on that for a while.

You are super quiet most of the time and have the biggest smiles I've ever seen.

You are getting to be such a big boy.

We found this beautiful Arabian Horse Farm...

 

 

This beauty was just 2 years old.

 

She LOVED Lawson.

Calan wanted to see into the stalls so bad and talk to the horses.

 

 He was not afraid to touch them at all.

 



The farm had all the babies in stalls with their mommies.

Calan Turns 4 with a Pool Party!

Mommy's Notes:

Sweet baby boy Lawson, how wonderful you have become. Your fourth month has been the best month by far.  Your colic has all but dissapeared. Your thriving at daycare and they absolutely adore you. You love hearing your own voice and have so many smiles for mommy and daddy. You started sleeping more at night and sleep about 4 or 5 hours in a row. You love your bottle in the middle of the night and sleep much more sweetly after you have it. You adore your lullaby seahorse and cannot drift off to dreamland without it. You have discovered your fingers some and try to get them in your mouth but can't quite figure it out. We've introduced your horsey to you and you haven't quite figured out how to jump in it yet but you'll get there. We have switched you to sensitive formula and you are doing so well with the change. You seem to be much more satisfied.  You've also transitioned to the crib and you did wonderfully!  Mommy was more nervous but you were a champ and slept 4 hours straight your first time.  This month has been the biggest of changes and you have taken them all in stride. We love you Lawson!
