awh crap.
July 29 2012
lamest most awesome day ever.
the moments wyatt got into his car and drove awaywere quite emotional for me [surprise.]
I couldn't believe the day had already come.
we had waited so long for him to be able to go
and I felt so incredibly grateful he was going...
but I also felt so incredibly scared.
I tried to take a picture of his cop car out front
and him getting into it...
and the boys and I watching him all the way down the road
until he turned and we couldn't see him anymore.
then I just kinda stood there frozen.
I wish I would've had a picture
but my hands were full of newborn baby
and I couldn't make my ipod work through my tears.
So I took a picture of where his car used to be.
just so that I could blog about it and tell you...
It really sucked.
bye bye wyatt
this is kinda a weird picture.
but it means alot to me.
I took this picture about two days before Wyatt was leavingto go to the POST academy in Carson City.
He'd left us for two months before in 2007
but that academy was in Las Vegas
and Grady was in my tummy.
This time he'd be eight hours away
and I'd be home with three little boys
and a healing tummy.
I think i cried more in those two days
than I have in my entire life.
Not only is he the best husband in the world
[and I had it easy the whole month he was home]
but hes my best friend. and were co-dependent.
and going four months without
your co-dependent best friend.
seems like an eternity.
pioneer day.
because how can one be so close to Utah and not go?
we even made it in time for the parade.
and some sweet lady offered me her extra chair.
she didn't even know I had had a c section 2 weeks prior!
[maybe she did...maybe the amount of extra chubbiness
hanging over my pants gave it away]
The boys thought sitting in the road was pretty awesome.
and running back and forth made them feel rebelious.
[doesn't mr. oliver [junior] look like a policeman?]
i don't know if its the shades,
amazing physique or vacant expression...
it really was beautiful weather
and such a nice break
from the 115+ temps we were having...
Bentley was soooo excited
about the candy people were just throwing at him.
but got really scared
when the old men shot their rifles into the air.
my grandpa Morgan Adams
was on of the first settlers here in washington.
we named our little morgan after him.
his granary still stands in front of the washington park
so naturally we had to take a picture in front.
the boys had the time of their lives in the bounce house
and since we still had tickets left we choose the
'through the football through the tire game.'
its an authentic pioneer game...
the funniest thing was it took grady a good 5 times
and 5 or 6 steps forward to make it through.
afterwards he handed the ball to his little brother
who tossed it through on the first try.
After playing many different games
we ended the day with funnel cake and watermelon.
and thats when the editor from the spectrum
came up and started asking me questions.
I was thinking maybe page A8 under the obituaries
but we ended up on the front page!
"The Mesquite resident doesn't live in Utah,
where July 24 marks the annual celebration of the pioneer settlers
for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
who built the state's first permanent communities,
but her sons' names reflect the heritage
left by ancestors who paved the way for her family,
including two who made homes in Southern Utah,
where Oliver grew up."
This is only part of it.
I had quotes and all.
were famous.
not just desert valley times famous.
but Saint George spectrum famous
Marge* clipped me like 6 clippings
I guess she felt famous because of her famous neighbor.
and she only brought them over when i was nursing...
it was funny.
but thats another story for another day.
Anyway the point is
i have plenty to send to anyone who may want one.
*You could guess she was my funny old lady neighbor
just by the name marge right?
blessing day.
JULY 22 2012
MORGANS BLESSING DAY
because wyatts folks were in town for the weekendwe decided to have a last minute baby blessing
for little baby morgan.
this photo is really blurry.
but I felt like it was an accurate visual on how i felt
really blurry.
he was just so little and so new
[15 days new]
but he was oh so handsome.
I bought him theee cutest little outfit
*on sale* at Toys r us
it was only $6.78
marked down from $40
because only cruel mommies would dress
their babies in full on knit outfits
in Mesquite in the summertime.
but I justified it by saying it was only for a couple hours.
My cute sisters had been there to help me all weekend.
[hence the forced smiles]
but I couldn't of done it without them.
My parents. who wouldn't stand still or stop laughing
long enough for me to get a decent photo of the three of them.
The big brothers.
complete with matching hotglued craptastic bowties.
Grady was so excited for morgan to be blessed.
he was sad he wasn't old enough to be apart of the circle
but settled for a front row seat instead.
My Grandpa Holland was also in town,
and of course we had our besties, the chesleys
and their darling little girl.
Afterwards we had desserts at our house
the grown ups chatted and swooned over morgie
while the little ones played elefun butterfly game
and grady sulked in the corner because he
couldn't have the blue net.
Wyatt gave Morgan an amazing blessing.
And because it wasn't fast Sunday
we didn't get(?) to bear our testimonies.
So I thought I would at least write
how thankful I am for my wonderful husband
for my parents and sisters
for giving inlaws and a loving extended family
and for amazing friends.
and a fantastic ward.
THEEEE END.

going home.
We had to say goodbye to our wonderful nurses
and yummy sweet pea smelling hospital room
[and daily visits from doc marsden]
on Tuesday July 10th
Morgan was absolutely thrilled about leaving. [see above photo]
when we got home our door was decorated so fun + cute!
we still don't know who did it
but whoever you are, THANK YOU!
They boys loved it! and we did too!
many visitors.
We loved having people come visit us!
it made us feel so loved.
Ellie was one of the first people to hold Morgan
Grandma helped Bentley hold his little brother toohe was unsure at first,
but now his favorite phrase his
"ha. he love me."
"he loves you bents?"
"yeah. he love me."
Grady was smitten from the beginning.
Oma sent her love with flowers
they were so gorgeous
but we sure wished she could have been there too!
These were some of the many well wishes
wyatt received via text message.
and we had so many friends + family stop byto meet the little guy!
we sure appreciate everyone
who took time out of their busy day
to help make our day special.
