I got to see Graciela again! My Dad met her on his mission in Lima, Peru years ago. She loved the missionaries and became someone very dear to my father. When I was 8 years old, she came to visit and though she doesn't speak English, we had a ball together. She played with me, colored with me, taught me a little Spanish, and I taught her a little English. It's been 14 years and I finally got to see her again! Her son, Manuel goes to school now in Salt Lake at the LDS business college. She was able to finally come and visit him. When I found out she was coming, I was thrilled! Jared's loving Mother invited Graciela and Manuel over for dinner Sunday evening. So Jared and I went to pick them up. I don't know what I'd do without Jared... he kept the conversation going, considering I don't speak Spanish. I'm so glad Jared can speak Spanish... and Portuguese! Graciela's English was impressive. She knew how to say "I love you," "kiss," "fish" (which I taught her years ago), "look at the light," etc. She even sang "I am a Child of God" to Kailee in Spanish! We had so much fun. She is the sweetest lady. She gave me a beautiful bracelet and gave me a big box of chocolate to give to my Dad... we'll see how much of the chocolate actually gets to him, lol.

Isn't she beautiful!

Here Graciela is playing with cute little Kailee! I never knew socks could be so entertaining!

The first thing Graciela told me was how tall I was. I remembered her being a lot taller myself, but now she's the short one, lol! She is 74 years old and you would never know it. She is so healthy and looks great. She looks about 40 if you ask me! It seemed that half the night she was complimenting Jared's entire family. Jared is "muy guapo," Amie is "bonita" of course, Kevin is "guapisimo", Terrie is precious, and Cameron has a sweet, baby face... she said he looks so innocent! Graciela is one of the sweetest people I know. She has a lot of gratitude in her heart for everything. Her son Manuel is just like her, very kind and polite. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Graciela and meeting Manuel. We're going to see them one more time next week! I can hardly wait!
