And I am especially loving it since:

- I am home in Oregon and I can be around for all of the fun festivities that lead up to Christmas day

-Shawn is going to be done with finals on Friday and then I get to have him home for 2 whole weeks

-I love being in a Christmas home (my mom loves Christmas) so there is Christmas music on all of the time, yummy smells in the air, and Christmas decor all throughout the house. She has 5 trees decorated all over the house. And the best one of all is 20 ft tall and smells so good

-I am loving all the treats we are making to give to others and to eat ourselves

-The Christmas parties we are attending

-I love this time of year to remember and Celebrate the birth and life of our Savior Jesus Christ

- I love that all of my Christmas cards are out and I love receiving cards and pictures from friends and family

-And I am loving my sweet baby girl who is the best gift of all!

We have been busy decorating the house and decorating cookies and decorating my baby in fun Christmas outfits and accessories...

Turkey Bowl

Every year the 4 Woodburn Wards do a Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving morning. This is something my dad and brothers look forward to each year. This year was fun because Shawn was able to do it too (he has never played in a Turkey Bowl). About half way into the football action my mom, Callie, and I drove over to the school to watch all of the boys play-the nice thing was they were all on the same team so it was easy to spot them all playing together.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving this year-so much to be Thankful for:

-A hard working husband in Dental School and loving each day preparing to provide for his family someday
-Living in Oregon and happy each and every rainy day!
-A wonderful and supportive family who we love so much
-The Gospel which brings joy and happiness to our lives
-And the best little baby girl who I get to spend each day with

So many blessings from the Lord and so much to be grateful for this time of year

My sweet Thanksgiving girl dressed up in her turkey shirt and excited to have some mashed potatoes for her Thanksgiving dinner with the whole family.

Image We are in trouble because this little lady is up on her hands and knees and all over the house...she is not yet 6 months and already cruising where ever she wants to go.....I don't think we are ready for this yet! Thought I would post a few new pics of my baby girl getting so big.
I love peeking over the bed at Callie in the morning. She is always so happy in the morning and so excited to see anyone willing to get her out of bed. ImagePorter and Callie helping make some Christmas craftsImageCallie is getting so big in her car seatImageOne of Callie's favorite things to do is play on the carpeted floor of her grandmas room. Since most of the house is all hard wood floors...we have to set up a blanket and toys in grandmas room to play and crawl on. ImageAll bundled up for our daily walk and to feed, "Callie's ducks" my parents have a pond behind the house with some ducks in it and she loves to go out and watch as we feed them everydayImage

Callie's 4 Month Stats

ImageCallie on her grandma's birthday....wearing an, "I love my Grandma" shirt that I madeImageThis little lady has found her little tongue and loves to stick it outImageImageI have a little walker baby. She loves her walker and loves to cruise all over the houseImageCallie and mommy ready for church on a rainy SundayImageI forgot to post Callie's 4 month stats after her 4 month well baby check up.

Weight: 13 lbs 10 oz 36%

Height: 25.5 in 80%

Head: 42.5 cm 80%

Callie is growing tall and is staying pretty thin. She loves to eat and has loved everything I have tried to give her. She is up on her hands and knees and is now doing some army crawling and can really get anywhere she wants to go. She loves to put everything in her mouth and still loves that thumb in her mouth (especially in the evenings when she is ready for bed).

Callie has lost most of her hair and it makes me sad that I cannot put her hair in her little curly top mohawk. Her hair looks like it is coming in alot lighter than it was when she was born.

I love being able to stay home to watch my baby grow and smile all day long.

Bauman Farms

A couple of weeks ago my Mom, Savannah, Porter, Callie, and I decided to head to Bauman Farms. I was in need of some squash, sweet potatoes, and parsnips to make into baby food for Callie so we picked up some veggies and a treat and then we decided to take a ride around the pumpkin patch and look at the animals and watch all of the big kids play. We had a fun day!

This little lady started eating solids at the beginning of October and loves it! We started with some rice cereal and she could not get enough of it. Just last week I made her some butternut squash and she is eating up every last bite and even sucks the food off her bib. This week I am going to make some sweet potatoes and parsnips....hopefully with the same results. Image

Halloween

Halloween this year was celebrated alittle early at the church Trunk or Treat party. Since Callie is tiny and does not know a difference-we will be able to get away with just celebrating there for a few more years.
My Aunt Diane is the Queen of Halloween and dressing up so we hit up her house and she picked out some costumes for us. Shawn was a sexy cowboy with some very tight jeans (thanks to Brighton's friend) and a mullet, I was an Indian and Callie Roo was the cutest little lady bug.

My outside baby

Callie's favorite part of the day is when we go outside to take our walk. Its starting to cool down now that fall is here and the rain is coming...but we try to find a break in the rain to bundle up nice and warm and head out for our walk around the farm.
