September was a busy month at our house. Here are a few highlights:
The Daybreak Triathlon...My PC, his father, and I did the Sprint portion of the Daybreak Triathlon. PC swam 800 M (even though it ended up being 75 M and 1 Mile run because they had to close the lake. It was infested with some kind of worm - YUCK!!), his dad biked 12 Miles, and I ran a 5 K. It was my first race ever and it was harder than I thought it would be. But in spite of that, we are going to do a half sprint in St. George in a couple of weeks. This time we will all do it on our own. It is a 200 M swim, 6 Mile bike, and 1.7 Mile run. It should be interesting.
PC was in prison. His band (in which he plays the keyboard and does vocals) played at the Point of the Mountain. PC tells the story much better than me so I won't go into all of the details. They played in the Chapel to a room full of inmates. I think they are really good (and not just because I'm in love with the keyboardist)! They play songs like "I'm a Believer", "Superman", "Ring of Fire", "Mustang Sally", "Walk of Life", and "Wonderful Tonight" (one of my favorites). PC said it was a fun gig.
We are continuing in our quest to put our house together. I still have major amounts of boxes in the basement but we need to get the upstairs all set before we can decide what things of mine to keep or give away. As part of our wedding gifts, we got some furniture. It's the kind that you put together yourselves. We did a really good job (and it was fun too)! So, I have decided that we should have been carpenters instead of a computer-guy and a teacher-girl.
I put this one together.
PC put this one together.
We each did one of these. It was an evening activity. Ahhh...togetherness.
