Left under the waterfall
While hiking a waterfall trail in the Great Smokey Mountains this summer, I came across these glasses left on a tree root along the bank. Most people on the trail walked right by but once I spied them, I could not get the numerous stories of how they got there and what happened to the owner after they abandoned their glasses out of my head. My brain kept asking questions like: How long have the glasses been here? How did the owner get home? What did the owner look like? My goal with this photo was to invite the viewer to create their own story about the glasses left behind.
