In fact, this is the central thread throughout this collection, which holds it all together as Reddick expertly sweeps us along as he introduces a myriad of colourful but also realistic and at times vulnerable characters presented to us but also some welcome but very weird situations, leaving us satisfied but hungry for more as we are transported through the scenes in these stories.
