This past week was a little busy! I worked and took a PALS (pediatric advanced life support) class. It was a neat class to take, but covered a lot of material, as I am sure you can imagine. JD was a great sport, and came home early pretty much everyday last week to help watch Cami and let me study. He was awesome to help out and helped with cooking and dishes too! He is always so willing to pitch in and help out when I ask, so I am one lucky girl! Cami learned a dreaded phrase this week that goes like this "I do it!" Dreaded because her coordination is not quite where it needs to be to apply her own diaper, and do her own hair, and it is a little tricky still to put on her own shirt, pants, socks, and shoes. She is getting to be quite independent and is such a determined little one. She is so strong and knows what she wants. She operates on a high speed mode, but I can see some improvement in her attention span, even if it is only a few seconds longer.
The other day Cami was playing with her Sesame Street matching cards and pointed to Oscar the grouch and said "mommy", I told her that it was the grouch and she smiled and said "mommy". She then looks at JD and points to the grouch and said "daddy". Hopefully she doesn't really think we are grouches!
Here is some finger painting! No, she does not have a black eye, she rubbed her eyes with her paint covered fingers!
We had some friends over to watch the BYU game a couple weeks ago, so here they are playing! Cami loves her friends and has been getting so much better at playing with them rather that just around them.
I tried out Bountiful Baskets! I was pleased with what I got and even though JD was grumpy about it, I will probably do it again, because it helped me be more motivated to get more produce into our diet, which is important!
We went to the zoo, also a couple weeks ago, because last week it was pretty rainy, hence the title, and I was really busy. We found this bird that I am pretty sure was injured on the ground and the kid were fascinated to be that close to a bird.
The cart was empty and Cami cannot seem to resist driving so the kids all climbed on for a "ride"
Splashing in the fish room!
Cami has wild hair, and will only allow me to do it one time a day, so by bedtime, we look like this! Cami saw me getting the camera down to show JD our zoo pictures and wanted me to take a picture.
Saturday we had some family time, which was very nice. We went to the museum and played hard, and Cami crashed on the way home. It was a fun relaxing day, until JD watched the BYU/Utah game and was understandably grumpy.
This picture is for Steve and Nicole, in case you can't tell what it is, Cami is "milking" the cow at the museum. Very realistic wouldn't you say? (wink wink)
