We had quite the eventful weekend last weekend! JD graduated! I am so proud! It was definitely a long road and I am so grateful JD was willing to work hard to get an education that will support our family...now we just need to have him pass the bar and find a job. We were very blessed to have JD's family come into town for the graduation. Also I had a birthday! (shout hooray!)
Here are some graduation pictures!
We decided that since getting through law school is a family effort we would all take turns wearing the cap.
So grateful for family support! We couldn't have done it without their love and encouragement!
I got a bunch of photography stuff for my birthday and Cami wanted me to try out my external flash. Obviously I was just messing around, but her face was priceless so I decided to share.
We enjoyed some other fun stuff since we had family in town.
Friday was my birthday and JD got up and made stuffed french toast for breakfast and then Jenna introduced the ladies to Jazzercise. We enjoyed a bbq sauce taste test with lunch and went to the exotic pet shop to check it out then to the Y to swim. JD and Nicole made me a cake and we watched a movie and relaxed. It was a great day and I didn't even get ready...
Saturday was the graduation and reception at the law school. We came home and JD opened his gift. We took naps and relaxed then went to dinner and bowling. It was so fun and Cami loved it.
Sunday was a relaxed day as well and we had dinner with the Coons who were good friends with Nicole and Steve while they were in dental school together then we went and explored the arboretum.
Monday Jenna cut our hairs and we went to the zoo. Then it was time to stay goodbye :(
At the pet shop...
Swimming at the Y
I know I look lovely. I figured I should be natural on my birthday ;)
I know these are out of order...this is part of the group that JD worked with on the Titanic case for his big trial.
JD's law school buddies....they played league together to stay sane.
Bet ya can't guess what this is ;)
JD got a shot gun! Lovely wrapping job don't you think?
Bowling fun! Cami was so excited and very tricky to take a picture of because she kept jumping up and down. She loved to give every one high fives after her turn and pretty much had every one take turns helping her.
Thanks aunt Jenna for cutting our hairs :)
As an end note, Cami started swimming lessons this week. She enjoyed her first class and I think it will be good in preparation for the summer... I think we will take advantage of our Y membership for sure in that department!
A photoshop mess, but I wanted a picture with JD in his cap and gown under the banner I made and he turned them in right after graduation and I had forgotten to do it before so here is what ya get.
Funny story about graduation, I remembered on the way there that I didn't have my camera and had to run home and get it! Can you believe that! I made it in time, but man that sure put my stomach in a knot.
