September has been a month of change for me. I am slowly getting used to Cami being gone all day. I really look forward to weekends. The first weekend after school started we went up to Lake Corpus Christi and got to go sailing in the Thompson's catamaran. He even let Cami steer for a bit. She was super excited. We took the kayaks out so that was fun, and the scouts loved them. We have had some fun dinners with friends in the ward. Since most of us don't have family near by we are each others families for Sunday dinner. The Saturday of labor day weekend we went out to the national seashore with friends, there were some big waves so we didn't take the kayaks out in the water. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching BYU football. On the Labor day Monday we went to the beach with lots of friends. JD headed up early and went fishing with the guys. They didn't catch anything except JD caught a stingray which he threw back :).
We have started a bit of a tradition doing homemade pizza and a movie either Friday or Saturday night, which is fun, and I finally found a recipe for crust that we like. It is a copy cat pizza hut pan pizza recipe.
I had a Stake Women's conference on weekend and met JD and Cami at the pier after and Cami caught her first fish. It was a little guy so we threw it back, but still fun to catch her first fish! That night JD and I went on a date to see the play Twelfth Night at the Harbor Playhouse. Then stayed up late watching the BYU game.
This past weekend we went to the beach and enjoyed playing in the waves and took out the kayaks...even though there was a ton of seaweed. It was a beautiful day so I am glad we went. That night we went out to dinner and then bowling with friends. It was a fun busy weekend!
Cami has been doing well in school, She did get in trouble for the first time this past week when she threw a kids food on the floor. I think she was probably trying to be funny. She is a major tease and of course at this age doesn't always know when to stop. Other than that her teacher has said she is doing well and pays attention and follows directions. She wins people over with her natural enthusiasm.
I have been keeping busy finishing up craft projects and doing some deep cleaning. I have been going through the entire house getting rid of things and it has been rather freeing. I have enjoyed reading more, but I try to limit how much time I spend doing that so I still accomplish things:). I am volunteering at bit at the school to help keep me busy as well.
JD has had some busy weeks and flew to Houston one day for a client meeting. He says he enjoys the work he is doing and keeps busy.
Dinner with the Andersons.
Sailing on the Catamaran

JD caught a little frog at the lake.
This is a random picture that Cami wanted me to take of her with her tiger. Silly lady.
The beach this past weekend...lots of seaweed, but Cami and I made a sweet sand sculpture!
JD loading up the kayaks!
Digging a path through the sea weed to get to the beach!
At the beach Saturday before Labor Day....we are trying to get in lots of beach time before the nice beach weather gets away from us. I won't lie, I love the beach for many reasons. It gets us out of the house, it is relaxing, we all get some exercise and sun, and electronics are not invited to the party! It is wonderful to be unplugged and just be together.
Here is the sting ray JD caught!
Labor Day Monday...
On the way home we hit up a cute ice cream shop in Port A. Yummy!
Cami with her first fish!
The week before last I got to take pictures of some cute girls in our ward and Cami went with us. She was a little bugged that I wasn't taking pictures of her so I took a couple to appease her. Spoiled rotten ;)
Bowling!!
