Pajama Day

So the last day of school before Christmas Break is Pajama Day! The Kindergarteners have a Polar Express Day too. It's so cute!

Here is Joshua standing outside his classroom. I made that train...I figured it took me 5 hours to complete it...I'm glad it's done!

Image Here is Joshua getting his ticket punched by his teacher...I mean the conductor.

ImageJoshua finally found his seat with his name. Everyone had a mug with cocoa mix, mini marshmallows and a candy cane.

ImageThe tables were all moved together and covered with black butcher paper and Christmas lights and the room was all dark to make it like night.

Image Joshua was so happy and excited!

Image I told Mrs. Moss that she had a stowaway! The boy sitting next to him got him the chair and told Noah that he could sit next to him. When I was finished taking pictures I told him that it was time to go. Noah was so sad that he couldn't go to the North Pole today. Poor little guy.

Here is Jacob and his teacher Mrs. Everard. He loves her so much and she is a great teacher.

What is Love?

My Grandma sent me an email with little kids' answers of what they thought love was. I thought it was so cute. I decided to ask my kids what love is and here are their answers:

Jacob: Love is caring about someone.
Joshua: Love is when you love someone. You marry them.
Noah: Love is Mom and Dad.

What sweethearts!

Do you know this is one of my 6 favorite things?

So Dirk had the day off on Friday so I was able to pick Jacob and Joshua up without the other 2 kids. It was nice walking by myself to get them from the classrooms without one on my hip and the other in my hand... ;o) I decided to take them to the best frozen yogurt place ever...Golden Spoon...and treat them. We stayed there and ate our mini cups of deliciousness and had an enjoyable time together. On the way home, Jacob said, "Mom, do you know that's one of my 6 favorite things?" It made me laugh that he has 6 favorite things. I asked what they all were so here's his list:

1. Being 16 (because when I'm 16 it means I can drive a car)
2. Golden Spoon
3. Video Games
4. Skittles
5. Lollipops
6. Hugs and Kisses

I love this little guy!

Caught Red-Handed!

Image So I'm in the office and I hear a funny sound in the hallway. I turn around to see Chloe coloring on the wall with a black crayon. UH-OH!!! I grabbed the camera and I love the picture I got! I don't know how she knows about coloring, but I'm going to have to watch out now for our Little Artist!

Life Through My Eyes

Today is a calm feeling.
All is quiet, hushed.
Peace is plenty.
Love is abundant.
Feelings of gratitude engorge.
Life.
Husband.
Son.
Son.
Son.
Daughter.
Sweet bliss is mine for the making.
See how far a smile can stretch.
Hear how happy a giggle makes.
Smell the earth I'm rooted in.
Taste the unity of kisses.
Touch the skin of angels.
My sweet angels.
My life.

I'm in business!

I've decided I'm going to make and sell hairbows! I love making them, and they are SO cute too! My sister taught me how and I'm in love with this new hobby.

So many people have asked me where I bought my daughter's bows so they can get them. Well I actually make them myself and have now decided to sell them. I can make customized bows for you in the colors you want or you can purchase these that are ready to go.

Anything 3 inches or less in diameter is $2.50 for a single clip, or $4.00 for a set of two clips.

Clips over 3 inches are $3.00 for a single, or $5.00 for a set of two.

All are attached to a small ribbon-covered aligator clip. Ribbon ends are heat-sealed to prevent fraying.

Please take a look and let me know what you think. And of course tell your friends! ;o)

The 2 Best Quotes on Perfectionism...thanks Mom!

"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

"Congratulations! You're not perfect! It's ridiculous to want to be perfect anyway. But then, everybody's ridiculous sometimes, except perfect people. You know what perfect is? Perfect is not eating or drinking or talking or moving a muscle or making even the teensiest mistake. Perfect is never doing anything wrong - which means never doing anything at all. Perfect is boring! So you're not perfect! Wonderful! Have fun! Eat things that give you bad breath! Trip over your own shoelaces! Laugh! Let somebody else laugh at you! Perfect people never do any of those things. All they do is sit around and sip weak tea and think about how perfect they are. But they're really not one-hundred-percent perfect anyway. You should see them when they get the hiccups! Phooey! Who needs 'em? You can drink pickle juice and imitate gorillas and do silly dances and sing stupid songs and wear funny hats and be as imperfect as you please and still be a good person. Good people are hard to find nowadays. And they're a lot more fun than perfect people any day of the week."

~Stephen Manes, Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days!

WOW!

Yeah, so it's been about 2 months since I had a new post...I'm still alive, don't worry! Christmas was a little crazy and I really wanted to do a few posts with the kids in their Halloween costumes, and Christmas and different things in between, but you know what??? Like you need a newsflash...but I'm not perfect, and I'm not going to let that get to me. So I'm back and here are a couple of pics of life lately.
