One week left

I am both excited and nervous for this week. It is the last official week of the semester! I do have a one final this week and the rest are next week. It feels unbelievable since I feel like the semester just started. Now I just have to do well in my Anat and Phys final and I will be good to go! Elijah on the other hand has had a blast this semester. One of his classes was done before Thanksgiving break and he's not stressed about his other tests. Well maybe his economics class. All I have to say is I am so ready to be done, have a few weeks off, and start in on Winter 2011 semester!!!

Getting into the Christmas Spirit

This semester I am taking an Adaptive Physical Education class and we have a lab once a week where we work with kids with disabilities. One of the kids family does a live nativity every year and they invited our class to go and anyone else who we wanted to bring. Elijah and I have been working on having family home evening and I thought this would be a good FHE activity. I also invited Naithan, Jessica, and the kids along. They have the nativity out at their dairy farm and it started at 5:30. The family was go generous to everyone that came and everything was free. They did soup and chili, the nativity, and homemade doughnuts and hot chocolate. So we bundled up with extra layers and headed out into the cold. Jessica had dressed all of the kids in their winter gear but they didn't last long eating outside in the cold weather. Although they did really good through the nativity and with the hot chocolate. They all loved petting the sheep and the cows that were there too! It was a good way to get into the Christmas spirit and not forget what this holiday is actually about. It also made me very thankful that we could get into our car afterwards and have the warm heat. Especially since we couldn't feel our toes anymore. When we got home we were curious as to how cold it was outside and it was only 8 degrees.
