Everything Beautiful

March is off to a beautiful start. Ben and Marshall shared a birthday party with all their friends. Their faces say it all~

Our sweet little Leilei was back in red to brighten our day. She is truly a drawing /coloring girl these days~
Sweet Miller too... told ya she could sit up~
Scottie and Miller were here too, with their precious smiling faces, making us all smile as well~
LL had Dr. Seuss week at her school~
Daffodils are blooming everywhere, and the grass along our driveway is so vibrant~
CA is trying out an online homeschool venture, and it's going pretty awesome~
The weather has been such a mixture, one day is cool and cloudy, the next it's warm and sunny enough to wear swimsuits and play in the water~
Ben's 12th birthday was awesome all the way around! We love his lounging chair where he can lay with Lua~
When Scottie gets here on Thursdays, she pulls out her homework so she can get started~
Miller loves sitting on the floor and playing now💕~
Thursdays are usually our date night, so I snapped a pic with Miller, and we dashed off to Ram Cat~
Our sweet CA had some pretty big keloids on the backs of her earlobes, so she had them removed and recovered very well. She's been through so much in her young years, and we are very proud of her~
Family Ski Day for the Dove boys' birthdays. Even Josh got in on the fun. 'Funest' family I know~
THIS was Mimi's real birthday!!! Happy 34th, you beautiful daughter... we could NOT love you more~

Will and Ava at a Drill Meet for JROTC, and SJ giving an impromptu speech at CC~
LL loves to take a walk down our driveway, which is 1/4 of a mile one way... she's pretty strong and just look at her manicure~
Ella took a bus trip to CO for spring break to help lead a ministry conference at a Hmong church there. Tons of miles and tons of answered prayers. Thank you, Jesus! What an amazing group of friends she has made being in HSA at TFC~
I just wanted to remember our 13-year-old teenagers being a 13-year-old teenager~❤️
One of the highlights so far this month was Grandparents' Day at LL's school. We arrived to receive a precious plant and lots and lots of hugs. There was a breakfast to share, and we got to see her classroom and meet her teacher, Ms. Gabbi. Nothing sweeter than being her Shayshay and Papa~
Leilei was there too (Hayden's mom)~
That afternoon, I surprised Scottie by picking her up at school, and going by to see Miller and Lennoox~

My mom is spending her days with us, and the grands (her greatgrands) love coming to see her~

AND she get's a makeover from Aunt EC every time she comes~

March Memories off to a great start and more to come, I am sure!!!

Chinese New Year is always a fun way to celebrate the wonderful country in which our beautiful ones were born. Some of our friends at CC suggested a Chinese place in Anderson, so we took a chance. It was pretty good, but more than anything, it was so sweet to share things we remembered about their adoptions. What amazing stories of God's love for us all~

The Fleemans were on the go for winter break. They enjoyed the children's museum in Greenville~
Payne had his specialist appointment with our favorite, Dr. Boydston, where he got a raving report! Also Rosie was gifted with the most precious photos of her little one to be here in June~
Happy Marshall!!! You are a big nine-year-old now, and we can't believe it! We hope you had a fun time opening gifts. We love you so much~
The first sign of spring... my grandmother's daffodils are trying to bloom in my garden~
Poor Miller is sick but not for long... meds worked and back to swooning her siblings~

Having Miller is one of the best days of our week, especially for CA... she lights up when she sees her~
We also got to spend the evening with them while Mimi celebrated her birthday with friends.

Lennox sure had a fun day at preschool learning about 'chines'~

Could she be sweeter? Cuter? More darling? She's sitting up now and pulling up~
Afternoons with Lennox and Scottie are all about games and crafts! They both have their own fish, so that's exciting, and Miller is happy about it all~

Looks like every post begins with sweet faces like these... the girls are so good at sending moments in their lives that bless my heart! My little loves~

Amid much uncertainty and the need to simplify, we have redeemed some of our beautiful subjects and practices. Using Tea Time together, we have begun Fine Arts Friday again. We observe and create beautiful art, learn about a composer and listen, and read new poets and copy their lines of love. Such a calm and peaceful way to complete a week in Beauty! EC loves art, HM loves music, and CA is resting in the slowness of it all. While they create, I read and read and read~ ❤️
We usually pair a delicious treat like homemade bread with our creations~

Mimi and the kids came for cake , scones and cupcakes, and even brought cookies for Papa~
On Wednesday, we went to lunch with the girls, and  on Thursday, we went to The Galley on the lake for dinner... lots of celebrating~
Now we get to a sad story... on the night it snowed, Scott and I had been to our neighbor's for dinner and a game of pool, then headed home for the evening. It had gotten very cold, and our driveway had frozen over. We stepped onto it and thought we could slide our feet along carefully but all of a sudden I began slipping, Scott tried to help me, and fell himself. I heard his head smack the concrete, and he was out! I screamed, oh how I screamed and shook him, and tried to wake him up. (SCARIEST moment of my entire life!)
