Well, it's March, so about time to post Christmas pictures. Going through these photos made me remember how much fun we had!
Christmas morning--ready to check out our stockings.
If you know Alice, you know she is stubborn. She REALLY wanted to go swimming...so, we let her:)
Doesn't Quincy look cute with his little bow tie?
Tur Duc Hen for Christmas dinner. What is Tur Duc Hen, you ask? It's a deboned chicken stuffed into a deboned duck stuffed into a partially deboned turkey with andoullie sausage stuffing.
Can't go to Gainesville without visiting Lake Alice.
The girls were a little nervous having their backs to the gator.
Myra was feeling left out, so we went to my old elementary--Myra Terwilliger Elementary.
Quincy (and the rest of us) had fun visiting Grandma Arlene.
Chowing down on David's BBQ--can't beat it.
Quincy LOVED the ribs.
We also took the girls to a state park that had a little nature center. It was fun to
watch the turtles try to get out of their box.
This is a picture of a lizard right before it jumped on Alice's face.
Knees--one of Alice's spelling words this week:)
We found Alice's Restaurant on the way back from the state park. It was cash only, so Bruce had to go search for an ATM. I was a little worried it wouldn't be worth the hassle, but it was really really yummy home cooked southern food. I think it will definitely make our 'must do every time we visit Gainesville' list.
We also visited Dudley Farm. Alice was the photographer here--she's been a little obsessed with the idea of people who are married kissing on the lips...
Low Country Boil---oh baby baby!
John and Samantha time...lots of it. It was like we didn't have kids there for awhile.
We spent three or four evenings around the fire--the girls thought it was so great.
It was hard to contain their excitement.
Whoops...the bottom part was good.
A trip around the neighborhood with Pepaw.
No hills in Florida--awesome!
