A slumber party for 13 of her closest friends on her 13th birthday was the plan...


(all of these are out of order, but I was up ALL night with LOUD girls roaming our house...)

This is when I had to wake them up this morning after their VERY LATE NIGHT of ghost stories, karaoke, LOTS OF FOOD, and talking about guys!

They looked ROUGH!!!!

We sang happy birthday and had ginormous costco cupcakes!

A frosting fight broke out, or so I hear, and it didn't happen again since I told Kaitlin anything that happened was her responsibility to clean after everyone else was gone!

All in all it was a blast! Kaitlin had such a fun time with all her friends and that always makes us happy! We had crepes and headed off to New Moon this morning and had more popcorn and candy and soda... all of these girls teeth are going to fall out!

Thanks to my wonderful husband who's such an awesome Dad and went the extra mile funding the party and helping with bettering the decorations and all of the last minute stuff!!

Thanks to Oma who watched Psycho Ruth (lauren) & Squishy (Emmy) all day Friday so that I could run errands for the party... and for all of her clean up help, food help, and Lauren help during the party!!! It was nice to have her go to the movie with us today too!

Thanks to Jade who came and drove caravan #2 to get ALL these girls to the theater today and gave up her Saturday morning with her family to be with us!!! It's ALWAYS fun for me to have Jade around!!!

Thanks to Tawna who invited Monkeygirl Maddie over for a fun sleepover with Faith and took them to their own little showing of New Moon today!!! I know Maddie had a blast!!!

Thanks to Daron who helped with anything he was asked to do Friday and Saturday for the party and his big sister!!! He was great!!!

I still can't believe she's 13!!!!!

Oficially a TEENAGER!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Kaitlin!!! Today she turns 13 and we cannot believe it!!! She is such a beautiful girl inside & out! We love her eagerness to please and usually sweet demeanor! She doesn't lack DRAMA by any means, but she is really very happy by nature!

She is loving young womens, spending time with girlfriends, starting to notice the boys (she doesn't usually give out names, but sometimes!), playing on the volleyball team, doing really awesome in choir and art and also brought up her math grade after setting that goal, and just having a fun year!!!! On the way to school this morning she says she is gonna make goals for her 13th year... cute! I think that's a good idea and way to start her 13th year!


(We usually do the kids favorite breakfast, but hers is golden rod eggs and there is just not time on a school morning! so, on Saturday during her slumber party we are doing crepes and she's looking forward to that! Cream of wheat with brown sugar and toast is in the top 5 and it works on a Thursday!)

She is SUCH an amazing artist, student, daughter, friend, and sister!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU COULD POSSIBLE KNOW!!!!!!!!

Have a VERY happy birthday and fun PARTY this weekend!!!!! You deserve it!!!

Darons 1st Band Concert...

He did AWESOME!!!! I really did have a great time watching and listening to his band group! He was warming up behind the stage before the concert and we could hear him really good. He has so much talent in him for music (amongst other things!) and I dropped him off this morning to audition for Mrs. Just to see about advancing to the Intermediate Band already!!

After the concert he said, "I was the one who played the loudest and perfect, did you hear me?" He has great self esteem!!! He did play perfect and we are SOOOOO PROUD of him!!! I think he's be a famous sax player someday!!!

It was really hard to get pictures of him on stage... choir concerts are easier because they are on risers! These will have to do until next time and I'll try for better pics!!! :)

Good job Daron... we love you!

An APPLE A Day...

All of our Apples are canned and oh so yummy, thanks to Mom, Tawna, Jade, Oma, Kaitlin, Maddie, Lauren and Emmy! (Okay, not really the last two but they were pretty good sports about the chaos yesterday!)

We did Cinnamon pie apples with a really good spice from Shars, that I forgot the name of, but the complete recipe will be on Nanas Nook soon enough I'm sure!

Thanks soooooooo much to all of you for giving up your day to help me get these babies done! I will be returning some of the favor Monday over at Tawnas to do some more!!! 4 boxes of apples, done pie style with sauce, took us 8 hours, which I thought was pretty good, considering we had 2 little girls underfoot, it was a half day from school, a trip to walmart for 25 lbs of sugar had to be made, then another trip out to Costco for more jars and more sugar, and the insane mess it all leaves behind!!!! ALL worth it for sure!!!

And, Kevin lets her be sometimes! She pulls the little hairs on his arms one at a time to get him to scream and jump, and then she laughs hysterically! Good stuff! Daron had to get it on it too, then she started pulling his arm hairs... OUCH!!!

My New Calendar Holder...

My Mom knows just what I need and usually delivers it!!! She is always thinking of her kids! Thanks Mom, I do love it!!!!!

Kaitlin made the 7th grade volleyball team at her school!!!!!!! I think she'll do awesome!!!

We Had "VICTORIA" from the Twilight Series...

Kaitlin was too cool looking.... oh and too cool to hang with us this year! She went to a friends fun party and haunted house this year!
