Markings on the Hand
There are eight main markings on the hand that each symbolize different characteristics, emotions, and significant past memories.
Each meaning of the marking could fluctuate depending on what line it is near of what planet it lands on. For example, the spot marking (see picture, in the middle) if it is located near a line, say the heart line, it could represent an emotional time or heart breaking time to the person.
Star marks are my favorite to find, the are rare as well as the most meaning full. Because they are so rare this usually represents a important situation that could have changed the person or their perspective of life. (Specifically near the life line.)
Take a look on your left hand to look for any of these marks. Like stated in earlier blogs, most parts of the palm are interpreted by perspective of the reader.
Girdle of Venus
This line is located between the fingers of Jupiter and Saturn. This line is also known as the second heart line. Usually this line is laid across the finger mounds and sometimes is mistaken for a faint heart line.
This line shows the fluctuation of ones temperament and even some traits of personality. For example if this line breaks this could represent a hot tempered person or bad in stressful situations.
Texture of Hands
The texture of ones hand easily tells you about how active they are in life. Calloused hands can show the reader that they are overworked and spend tedious hours doing one thing. This assumption can lead to personality traits that help help the reader understand the persons palm. On the other hand (not literally) soft easy hands, specifically in men, can show that they care for themselves.
The feeling of ones hand can reveal to the reader hints that could help understand the person. This is essential to look over if you are focusing on the persons life. If someone has dry over worked hands, it is safe to assume they should take a day to themselves or take care of themselves more often.
Intentions of Palm Reading
StandardPalmistry is based off tradition but most importantly revolves around the palm reader. If one decides to start reading palms it is not something to take advantage of. Before reading someones hand the reader must understand that it is a belief as well as a practice, that should be used with only good intentions. I believe that if a palm reader is a beginner they need to verbalize to the person and explain why they want to practice Chiromancy (Palmistry).
The reason I feel the need to share this blog post is because I had a strange experience the other day. I was out with some friends and wanted to take a step outside. As my friends and I were talking a lady, with a troubled look on her face, met my eyes. I welcomed her with a warm smile…She came up to me and began to say, “You have a very strong presence, you are a leader not a follower and you take control of your life.” This was very heart warming to me and as I began to thank her she explained to me she reads palms. As a palm reader with only about a year of experience, I was so excited to find a woman who seemed to be interested in the act of Chiromancy. I thought that this would be a great experience to learn more about how others read palms. After she told me that I said back to her, “I would love for you to read my palm, I am also a palm reader myself…I would like to read yours as well if you read mine.” After this the woman’s face shifted and said, “I will do it for ten dollars, a special for you …usually 25.” At this point in the conversation I felt like my stomach dropped…
To practice Chiromancy with full respect and good intentions towards others, it should not involve money. I understand this is some peoples profession but as a reader I do not respect that. What you put out in this world is what you get back; using Chiromancy for money purposes only will only bring you to a place that’s not intentional for reading palms.
If you decide to begin palm reading, remember, you are taking a look into ones soul…them letting you do that is more of a reward than money will ever be.
Three Important Marks
There are some markings that could be found on the hand that represent anything from personality types to activities someone likes. My favorite things to look for on one’s hand are, the X of psychic sight, the lines of travel, and the chains of patients.
All three of these markings can be found throughout the hand. The best place to spot these markings is on the side of Mount Luna. (Under your pink/side of hand)
The X of Psychic sight can represent the potential one has to connect with past loved ones or foretelling upcoming events. I usually ask the person if someone thy loved dearly is deiced and if so that they have the capability to speak to them through their dreams. (This is the easiest way) See picture for reference.
The lines of travel don’t always mean that they will literally travel many places, but it could mean that one longs for mixed culture and new experiences. (Although most people do want to travel!)
Last are the chains of patients. This is the most valuable marking since it is very rare to find. People who have this marking usually are warm hearted people and care for others in a loving fashion.
Racelets
Most people normally think that palm reading is only about how long you’ll live and what will happen. Although the “Life” line tells you the quality of your life, it does not reveal the length of your life. Although I only read left hands because the left hand could be changed by one’s self, you can view someone’s “Racelets” to tell you the length of their life. (Either hand) Your racelets are located underneath your palm. To see the racelets one must move their hand towards themselves and the wrist of the hand folds. Each full fold usually represents 20 years, half 10, a quarter 5 etc. For example, the picture above shows two full lines and one 3/4ths of a line. That’s approximately 54-55 years of life. To make sure that it is clear to you readers that it does not mean that that means exactly when they will die, but with one’s lifestyle at the time, that’s what it portrays. I have seen peoples racelets that were almost not there, even mine is very faint. One can work on changing that and progressively see it get longer, or thicker.
Type of Hand
The next important subject of the hand to look at is the shape. There are four different types of hands that one could have.
1.) The Sensitive Hand
2.) The Artistic Hand
3.) The Psychic Hand
4.) The Elementary Hand
Each type of hand is shaped differently, with different characteristics.
For example The Psychic hand usually has an elongated middle finger, with a longer and narrow palm. (Look at Picture)
The Planets on the Hand
When studying palmistry, there are other aspects of the hand to appreciate other than the lines. The mounts or bumps of the hand represent planets, in which the planets intersect and connect to the lines. There is The Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and the blend of all the planets. Each mount has specific characteristics; usually with bigger or larger mounts it is an exaggerated emotion, characteristic, feeling etc. Smaller mounts would be the opposite, more introverted, concealed, hidden etc. For example, Mount Luna is the part of ones hand that is below the pinky as well as underneath the Headline. Mount Luna is the moon; she is a cold-hearted woman. Usually when I read woman’s palms this is one of the first things I look for. If ones hand has a dominate or larger Mount Luna compared to the others it is safe to say they have some things in common with Miss Luna.
