Spooky Dinner, Pumpkins, and Beach Sunsets

Image

We had a great Halloween filled weekend. The boys had some fun at a little festival they had going on in our neighborhood.
Image
Brayden, for some reason, told his whole kindergarten class that he was having a halloween party this year at his house.  Ya, he forgot to mention that to me before telling them...kids are so funny! Not really in my plans being soo pregnant, but we compromised and had a little family one. We had a spooky dinner with mummy hot dogs, bones and blood breadsticks, pumpkin applesauce (just dyed orange with food coloring), and frankenstein pudding. Not very fancy or filling, but the kids really liked it. I take no credit for these ideas...all from pintrest, gotta love it!
Image
The boys made skeletons out of Q-tips for a craft. Tyler's is the top one and Brayden did the bottom one.

We carved our pumpkins for the year

Pumpkin guts...love Brayden's face in this one

Silly Brayden scooped his out one seed at a time...Guy eventually helped him out so we could finally start carving!

The boys had fun drawing on them first with markers

Here they are all done! We made a baby one for the new baby coming soon :)

And we decided to end our weekend by heading to the beach on Sunday night to watch the sunset. It was gorgeous, like always.  Super windy by the ocean so Tyler wouldn't get out from under the towel on my lap, but Brayden had fun running around with Guy.  We don't really get the changing colors of fall leaves here, but at least we get to see the colors in the sky, right? :) The perfect weather time of year in Florida is finally beginning and I love it!

And I figured I better post a picture from the weekend to prove I actually am pregnant and about to pop. I felt really dorky posing by myself so I made the kids join me. Hopefully this baby will be here soon (3 cm and 75% at 38 weeks, so I'm hoping!) But I want a November baby for the birthday since it's 11/11 this year...wouldn't 11/11/11 be such a cool birthday? Past my due date, but I could settle for the 1st. Just not Halloween please!!! :)

Supposed to be going to sleep but they were having too much fun with the light sticks from their Halloween package. Seriously this happens every night with these two...Guy and I like to spy on them from the hallway and hear their hilarious conversations!

Don't you love Brayden's sticker collection that he keeps on Tyler's crib?

Just a little excited maybe??

Oh this picture makes me laugh! Brayden's first school picture...I think he was a little excited! We'll have to see about retakes day maybe since the pictures cost so darn much...or we'll just keep it to make us smile : )

Buddies from the Start!

Image
I've been working on scanning old pictures onto our computer from back in the day, since when Guy and I were first married and Brayden was a brand new baby we just printed out all our pictures.  Haha, I'm not even sure what camera we used to use back then and if it was even digital (which makes me feel old if it wasn't!)  Which by the way, I always think about when our parents took pictures of us when we were small and how hard that must have been to not be able to take millions of them and to have to develop a roll of film and hope at least one turned out.  There is no way I would have ever gotten a good pic of my kids if I had to do that!

Anyway, Brayden saw these pictures and could NOT believe that this was him as a baby and his cousins Luke and Riley.  I still remember this day so well (good old Rexburg) and it doesn't even seem like that long ago except for the fact that all these boys are KINDERGARTNERS now!!! Still don't know how that happened :)

Guy finished the St. George marathon in 3:40, his best time yet! Way to go Guy!
Ok and his ipod died on him around mile 3 so he pretty much ran that whole thing with NO MUSIC. I would have quit right then and there for sure with no tunes to keep me going!
