- Brady was grabbing a mason jar from the top of the cupboard for a drink of water, he lowered it quickly right on top of a regular drinking glass which then broke.
- Some day following that a picture frame that we bought at a local store mysteriously fell off the wall and broke.
- Next, on Sunday we noticed the car was leaking a substantial amount of oil...The next day it made squeeky noises, maybe it was a belt OR...maybe the next day it starts to jolt when shifting gears. This of coarse means transmission problems. So Brady puts tranny fluid in it with stop leak, but watches a lot of it drip out. So he drives it to work, it seemed to do better, but when he gets off the freeway it wont shift into second gear and he drives 20 mph the rest of the way to work.
- So Thursday Brady is at work and the car doesn't seem like its going to make it home. He is of coarse calling friends and family for auto advice all day, so when the work day ends at 9:30 pm and he is still not sure how he is going to get home, he has a dying phone battery. So he first calls Krystal to let her know he is going to find a ride and may be home later. He calls Scott who is somewhat busy, so he calls Aaron twice who doesnt answer, so he calls Brittany who doesnt answer, so he calls Cody who is going about doing the Lords work, so he calls Sam who doesn't have his phone on, so he calls Aaron one last time who answers and comes to the rescue. Just as Brady tries to text Krystal to let her know, his phone dies. So all this time Krystal doesnt know what is going on, and there was some talk of hitchhiking ;)
- Aaron comes all the way from Rexburg, So Brady waits, and when Aaron gets there he hops in the car and immediatly begins swapping car problem stories with Aaron and Meghan. Meanwhile, Scott played dodgeball took a shower and came over to check if Brady made it home. Krystal is worried so they head down to Idaho Falls to try to find Brady. By the time they get there he is not in the car, or anywhere to be found in the vicinity of Home Depot. So Brady gets home, finds the apartment dark and queit...so he quietly opens the bedroom door to find a lump of blankets on one side and assumes it was Krystal sleeping. So he sits down to relax and eat some cereal before bed...and five minutes before he is ready to get in bed Krystal calls his now charging phone to ask where he is. Brady is in the living room of coarse and suprised Krystal is not in the bedroom as he supposed. Proof that men don't think well in adventurous opportunities.
- Krystal gets home late, so Brady and Krystal get to bed late and still havnt caught up on sleep.
- So Friday we get the car to the auto shop...the best part of the week is the auto shop said the tranny is repairable...although we still dont know what that means. Meanwhile Scott is so gratefully letting us use his car. So we are trying to find a rental car...but Brady is under 25 years old, therefore and underage driver and it will cost 50 bucks a day. So we figure we can rent Scott's for 20 bucks a day and save money.
- Saturday, Brady and Krystal both work late. They go grocery shopping after work. Then they go to drop of Sarah, Krystal's co-worker. While backing out of her apartment complex, Brady backs into a brick wall and scratches Scotts car.
9. Sunday: After a week full of silly stories, accidents, and problems, we were tired. We fell asleep on the couch Saturday night and so of course forgot to set our clocks forward one hour. So we were late to church.
10. So Krystal goes to work after church, while Brady is trying to touch up Scott's car with some touch up paint. Meanwhile, the Koscinskis invite us over for dinner and want us to bring a dessert. So with Krystal gone, its up to Brady to make it. She tells him to make one of the simplest quickest things around. Mud, or dirt, or whatever you want to call it...its just chocolate pudding with gummy worms and oreos on top. So Brady has the non instant pudding which takes some cooking, and throws the gummy worms in right afterward. The gummies melt and we were left with some great laughter at this disaster.
11. Finally, the day is coming to an end, and Brady is having stomach issues. We will leave it at that, although we may think it was the Taco Bell lunch from Saturday.
If you have read this whole post, you have to be pretty bored. But it was one heck of a week for us. Krystal is finally indoctrinated on what a HAWS adventure is all about. Thankfully, we can look back at this week and just laugh, knowing it could be worse, there will be worse, but there should be a whole lot better!
