What a good PAIN

Image I can't begin to tell you how painful this week has been. Sunday after church I went to put in some laundry before heading up to Ashton. On the drive up to Ashton I started getting this awful pain in my back. By the time I arrived at the house I could not even get out of the car! It was a nightmare. It hurts to sit, lay, stand, bend, wipe,....you name it! I have missed work all this week due to this annoying pain. I have tried going to a massage therapist, and was desperate enough to go to the chiropractor. Finally, on Wednesday Mom, Dad, and Shawn came over to give me a blessing. It was great to know that everything was going to be alright. Each day seems to have it's trials still, but I am truly thankful to be able to still have the ability to walk (like a pregnant lady). I have learned to greater appreciate those who live with a disability. We are so lucky. Brian has been AMAZING! Doing his 4 jobs plus all the house work. I don't know what I would do without him.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE OF THINGS
Brian's brother came up to help for the weekend at the house in Ashton. They didn't get much work done because they wanted to be outside all day playing with the boys on the rockin sleigh hill. They created a bobsled run, and this thing is FAST! They were like little giddy children running up and down the hill as if they had never seen snow before. They were out there for hours. We are truly lucky and blessed for this opportunity to try something new. So far we are loving the beautiful outdoors.

Worth Living

I got a little frustrated with the whole blogging thing a couple of days ago. I wrote up this LONG entry and when I went to publish it blogger said they were doing something to their site. It erased my whole LONG entry. The past couple of days I have been working at the hospital, and Brian has been texturing walls in Ashton. I showed up for work yesterday in jeans because this is all that will fit me right now. They almost made me go home and change. Don't they understand that a prego woman can wear whatever we want whenever we want to! I also was able to attend the funeral of Josh a couple days ago. It is sad when there are more young children at a funeral than old. The program was good and his mom said alot of great things that life is worth living....no matter how bad things may seem. I have to agree LIFE IS WORTH LIVING!

Count Down

Woke up this morning for the women's spin class. I have to start thinking slim because today is weigh day. I have a 6 week check up this morning and man am I looking forward to it. "How much weight did you gain this week?" "I think if you just ate healthy and exercised you would be able to maintain a healthy weight." Those doctors sure know what to say to make you feel beautiful. NOT! I will let you know the damage when I return. Things are going great though. I feel good and I think that is all that matters at this point.

Impressed!

Image

Kelton is our next musician in the family. He loves beating on his drum set at all hours of the day. He is also learning some new cords and strums on his little guitar Carson bought him for Christmas. They sure enjoy hanging out together.
I am so impressed by all of you weight loss folk! Each night or morning I read your blog to see what you have been eating and how small you are getting. I so want to start Southbeach but I think the kido likes his carbs right now.
Brian has been busy working on the home in Ashton. It is good for him to be up there. He is a totally different person when he is there. Happy, excited, and just down right all smiles. We can't wait!
Boice family spin class was last night and man was it fun....(stinking hard). We have a lot of dedicated spinners in our family! Have a happy day.

Snow!

Wow, did we wake up to a snowstorm this morning. It dumped about 4-6 inches on the ground and many roads are closed. It is about time winter hitRexburg. Ashton got slammed with snow. Brian had to go buy a snow blower so he could get into the house today. In Ashton he got stopped trying to go up to the home and they almost wouldn't let him in due to the drifted snow. How fun! I just got home from work and man what a
fulfilling day. By fulfilling I mean........ice cream, Great Harvest cookies and bread, and lots of chocolate. I have been trying to be like the rest of youSouth beach folk, but man does this kid crave sweets! The boys are on their way home from
Asthon, so I am off to make a HEALTHY dinner.

Ashtonites

Image
Image
As of yesterday we are completely thrilled to be new Ashtonites! I don't know how it will be, but we are excited to try something new......and for us moving is definitely something new. I took the boys ice skating yesterday. Carson refused to go and try something new, but I MADE him. As he was crying inside the car I said "Carson, I think you will really like it." He was so mad at me for a long time. After getting Keltons skates on Carson decided to join the fun. They did not want to leave. I had to pry their skates off of them. I taught the women's spin class this morning and felt great! I think this kid is going to come out saying "go faster, push it, great job". Life is good around here.
Great job on Southbeach for those of you who have been so faithful. It is fun to listen to your success and all of the pain you go through on a daily basis.
