I just posted 9 new posts. There were so many that you have to hit "older posts" at the bottom to read them all! Hope you enjoy reading about our last couple of weeks!

And They Finally Meet!

So this was the best surprise of all time! My best friend, Maybelline, called us this weekend to let us know that they would be stopping by to visit. Now this wasn't just any visit, it was a special one. Back when I worked at Stevens-Henager College I made some of the best friends of my life. There were lots of good things that came from working at that job but I am convinced that Maybelline is the best of those things. We found out we were pregnant about the same time and got to watch each other throughout our pregnancies. We even let the girls kick Micah while in the womb. They've known each other since before birth. Jordan and I ended up moving a month before we had the girls so we never got to meet little Micah. He was born 2 days before the girls.

Well, Maybelline and her husband Marcus were moving across the country to Virginia and told me that they would be driving south to get there. So when I got the phone call from Maybelline that they had a change of plans and would be driving through Omaha, I couldn't believe it! We were finally going to be able to meet little Micah!

Sofia was very excited to meet someone else who actually had hair!

She liked him so much she showed him her stairs and how to climb them.

ImageSo cute!

The girls were very excited about their new buddy!

ImageWe were able to convince Maybelline and Marcus to stay the night and go to the fireworks with us! We had such a good time! Maybelline is one of those friends that's more like a sister. I am so grateful to have her as a forever friend! Thanks for the visit guys!

An Omaha 4th of July

This was our first 4th away from home and we really had a lot of fun. We made a whole weekend of celebrations. Saturday we went to a BBQ with friends and neighbors and then hit the fireworks. That night brought one of the best surprises ever...see earlier post!
ImageOn Monday, the 4th we celebrated with our own little family early in the day. We had an indoor BBQ complete with, that's right, Squeeze-Its! The girl's dressed in their swim gear ready to go swimming!

ImageCiao Bella..."Hello Beautiful!" We couldn't pass this shirt up when we saw it! Thanks grandma!

Later in the day the girls went swimming in their new blow-up pool. Our little neighbor boy Trey came and joined us!Image
Did I mention Bella has a crush?! That's right, 9 months old and she already has boys after her! She absolutely adores Trey!Image
Trey asked if "Bewa" could come play at his house after the pool! Bella was flattered. Sof was probably thinking, "what the heck?" ImageImageLater that night we went to a BBQ with all of the IDEP families. Super fun! We had a great 4th! Hope you did too!

Bubbles!

The girl's first experience with bubbles! They had so much fun. It's amazing to watch a baby experience things for the very first time! What a wonder!

We're Big Girls Now

We got a gift card to Texas Roadhouse for Easter and decided to take the girls for a family date night! They felt so big sitting in highchairs up at the table!

Sof was waiting for some food of her own!

They are getting so big!

Pig Tails and Painted Toes

We did it! We successfully tamed the mane into PIGTAILS! Yeah! I have been waiting for this day of cuteness for a while now! Oh I love this little girl!
Image
Oh and I love this little girl too! Look at her piggies, not on her head, but on her feet! Aren't those adorable painted toes?

Image
Such a sweetie!

I love having girls!

This Is How We Stroll

I love these pictures too much not to share. These girls have very distinct ways of riding in the stroller. Let me demonstrate:

Bath Time!

These girls LOVE the bath. Thinking it would be faster to bathe them together, we stuck them in. Of course, doing this merited bringing out the camera and we then ended up taking four times as long for bath time! It was well worth it! I love how they can get each other to giggle! They love each other!

This video is so funny! Again, Bella has a serious case of the giggles. Please excuse the gross shot of me at the end I had just woken up!

The Girls At the Park

Jordan and I took the girls to the little park across the street from our house the other day and the girls loved it! Sofia was excited to ride on the giant tortoise.
ImageThis baby swing was made for these two little girls. Sof is pondering the world as she swings and Bella is trying to feel the wind on her tongue!

ImageChecking out the shadows.
ImageBella's turn for a ride. She didn't want daddy's help. She can do it by herself!

Oh I love these little mugs!
Image
Don't you wish you could be this happy in a baby swing!?

You're So Funny!

Sofia can make Bella laugh SO hard! I love it; it's just so stinkin' cute! Enjoy!

Please excuse the quality of the video. Clearly the videographer needs some more experience.
