A 60's Venezuelan Villa
Below is I
talian architect
Gio Ponti
's
designed
“
Villa Planchart
” in Caracas, Venezuela(1956).
Ponti selected all the furnishings and decorative objects,
many of which executed the relationship between architecture and landscape.

Still in the 70's
In a world of interiors that has become so grey
and "Resto," these fun playful interiors feel so fresh.
I mean, upholstered-to-match-your-drapes television?
Amazing.
The images below are from an orignal, untouched (aside from new white carpet) home
in the
Marrakesh Country Club
development from the early 70's.

Factory/Garden Home in Paris
I LOVE the dark, moody, Paris home of Laurence Simoncini,
owner of well known children's boutique
Serendipity
.
In a converted steel factory, the"loft style" home designed by
Valerie Mazerat
(of
Merci
fame)
is the perfect combination of minimalist achitecture and warm organic colors and textures.
The courtyard garden situated in the center of the home adds the perfect amount of nature and light
to a otherwise industrial space.

VAN BUUREN HOUSE
The most memorable part of my Belgium trip,
was visiting the
Van Buuren House
in Brussels.
Purchased in 1928, the home was made into a "living
academy"
of rare art deco furniture, carpets,
stained-glass windows, sculptures and international masterpieces.
The gardens that surround the house are just as incredible.
The home was turned into a museum in 1975 after Alice's death.
Images my own, a couple from the site.
