The other day, I participated in a Japanese language class as a Japanese volunteer.
It will be a Japanese language class for foreigners.
First time:No foreign participants
Second time:One foreign participant
Third time:Two foreign participants
At the first meeting, I suggested, ”Since it seems that many of foreigner are not having any trouble living in Japan, why not make it a fun social gathering?”
The organizers decided to turn this event into a tour of local tourist spots, with eight foreigners taking part.
Four Indonesians and four Vietnameses, all were women.
We were given a ride in a minibus and went to see the local tourist attractions, the ”Moss Mat” and ”Straw Mammoth.”
I was placed in the same group as some Indonesians and we had a lively chat.
I told them, ”I write a blog, and the first foreigner to comment on it is an Indonesian. His name Catatan Petualang. He writes very interesting articles. He sometimes posts Islamic prayers.”
She replied, ”I’m a Muslim, too.”
Also, one of them was wearing a ring on the ring finger of her left hand, so I asked her, ”Is that a wedding ring?” to which she replied, ”I’m young, so I’m not married.”
When I asked her, ”What do you think of Japanese men?”
Everyone got excited.
None of them seemed completely opposed.
I have a faint hope that a matchmaking party for foreign women and Japanese men may be held in the near future.
I’m alive!
