On the 15th week of my journey as a Research Assistant for the HEALS Project, I am asked to keep a log of my activities so that there will be progress and outputs on what the investigation is expecting.
Therefore, I shall make this blog as my daily tool for the documentation. I hope this will be a great platform for the researchers to keep track on what I am doing as an assistant.

For the past 15 weeks, I have done several things in making sure that the research is progressing. I also participated in several workshops and also did other related works to give back to the community. Below are list of activities done previously:
A. Literature Review for HEALS Project:
Literature review is a complex work that requires many sources of information gathered in one place as evidence to support the arguments arise in the research paper. At the beginning, I have difficulty in writing literature review as I could find any systematic approach in making sure that my work is aligned with other researchers as well.
Therefore, I decided to to write review papers by focusing on the WWH (What? Why How?) Principle. I gathered several keywords related to the area and compile several relevant articles that could answer the WWH questions posed.
B. Preparation for Master of Education
In the upcoming February, I am furthering my study for Master of Education in educational technology. Therefore, I am taking an initiative to prepare myself for the new semester. My preparations include several things such as doing literature review, identify the problem statement, objectives etc.
This is to help ease my way into my postgraduate study so that I am ready and be able to graduate on time (GOT) which is expected around the time when the HEALS project is coming to an end.
C. Workshops Under Center for Teaching and Learning Technology
Being placed at Center for Teaching and Learning Technology UKM (PENGAJARAN-UKM), I managed to join and participate several workshops organized by the center such as mobile learning, flipped classroom, MOOC, animation and info-graphic, itunesU and many more. These workshops opened a new branch of knowledge for me to explore deeper about the educational technology field.
D. Other works
Other than that, I did several other job to increase my paycheck such as doing translation and proofreading as well as working as private tutor during the night. These extra works are not included in the job scope but I am taking it as a way for me to maintain the knowledge I acquired from my undergrad course which is TESL.

Starting from today, I will be updating my daily log like a personal diary to describe what have I done to increase my productivity as a research assistant. I hope that this journal will be a platform for me to keep track what have I done and also to observe how much I contribute to my work and whether it is worth t0 the pay I received.
May this blog be a motivation to ensure that I always focus and work hard to achieve my life’s vision. Ameen.
