CHI TOWN
We carefully planned out our summer so we could squeeze as much
fun//adventures//trips
as we possibly could.
We chose to end August with making one of Eric's dream come true:
Watching the Cubs play at Wrigley Field
in Chicago
(win-win)
We convinced our best friends Scottie and Bree to come with us
making the trip one for the books.
the city was breathtaking.
there was so much to do and SO much to see
a never- ending concrete jungle
the foggy skyscrapers and impeccable architecture were mesmorizing
every corner we turned, it got more beautiful!
We made it to TWO Cubs games, so you can imagine Eric's joy.
I have to admit, the old school Wrigley Field was pretty great-
"the most beautiful sight in the world" according to my husband
"no offense babe"
none taken.
HAPPY 100 YEARS WRIGLEY FIELD!

Some of my favorite parts of the trip were:
getting lost in the streets (literally)
the Bean
public transportation
the FOOD
Ice cream doughnut sandwiches ^
calories don't count when you're on vacation..right?
RIGHT.
by the end of the trip we had the L Train down to a science.
(other than Blub's Cubs shirts) no one would've even known we were tourists!
Night Time Chicago
(a.k.a. Gothem City)
We also celebrated our Anniversary in Chicago, but I think that deserves its own post.
Our trip was incredible, Eric had to drag me to the airport because I didn't want to leave.
I love that Eric has the same spirit of adventure as me.
We have so much fun in new places, getting lost and wondering.
Chicago was amazing
It was the perfect BANG to end our summer on.
I can't wait to go back!
Hope everyone had a great summer!
aaaaand welcome back to real life.
