Are You Living?

Image
March 15, 2022

In 2022, I asked the question, “Are you living or are you on display?” Basically, are you living a life that’s curated for others to see or are you truly living? Are you living the life you desire to live, free of other’s opinions?

Yesterday, I witnessed a wedding ceremony between two beautiful souls who decided to live in their truth. Although it was on livestream, it was probably the most intimate wedding I’ve ever witnessed because they were in their own world. They’ve been in their own world since they met, and I love it.

Smiling as I write because I’ve been following the groom on Facebook for almost 10 years now. I even met him when he was doing pop-up shops across Mississippi, selling his baked goods. I just checked my photos, and we met on March 25, 2016. I knew back then there was something special about him and just had to capture the moment, and I have been following him since. I’ve witnessed everything, especially his growth mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. As I was ages ago, I am so proud of Jeromie “Kake King” Jones. Congratulations to him and his beautiful bride, Raven. God bless them both! Amen

Life is meant to be lived, and lived to the fullest. Are you living? Asking myself the same. If not, it’s time to do so.

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday.♥️

I love you,

Shaun

My Journey With God, No. 134

Facebook’s gentle reminder of where I was eight years ago—the State Capitol, and it’s where I was again a few days ago.

I’m not entirely sure where God is leading me. Most of my life I thought I knew. All I had and still have is the vision He gave me.

For years, I tried to follow different paths to reach the vision, only to realize I wasn’t in control—God was (and is). I now know I can only reach the vision by allowing Him to lead.

I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!♥️

So Close

Image
March 14, 2024

Two years ago, I wrote the following:

Distractions will come.
Setbacks will happen.
Never stop climbing.

Rest when needed.
Crawl if you must.
But never stop climbing.

You are so close to your dreams. Keep climbing.

It’s true. You’re closer to seeing more of your dreams come true than ever before. Be careful not to get caught up in things that aren’t going as planned, those are distractions. Instead, focus on what’s going right and moving you in the right direction. Those are the things that are moving you closer to everything you dreamed.

Keep climbing!

You’ve got this!♥️

I love you,

Shaun

Don’t Do It Without Me

Up singing Bishop Paul S. Morton’s song, “Don’t Do It Without Me.”

Once again, I’m wide awake and feel like talking. Nothing’s wrong, I just feel like talking. I’m talking about wanting to have a full-blown conversation about nothingness, talking.😂

Anyhoo… The song of the hour is above. Whatever God’s doing in this season, I don’t want to be left out of the mix. I want to stay as close to Him as I possibly can. So close that He’d probably get tired of me.☺️

About to try to go back to sleep. I bet if I try to read something good, I’ll be asleep in less than five minutes. Lol.

Talk to you later!♥️
