some new things...

Well... a few new things that have gone on lately. I turned 23 on the 17th! It was a very fun day, i took work off to spend the day with Jordan and my sister and her kids. I woke up to balloons and a banner over my head, and  a present on the table. Jordan got me a gift card to Downeast Outfitters. I have been complaining about needed new downeast undershirts. YaY!!! We went to lunch at olive garden my favorite restaurant and i ate soooo much but how can you not! mmm... Then Jordan had to go to work so we drove to Harriman and i spent the rest of the day with Autumn and the kids. The babysitter came over and Autumn and i went to Dinner and shopping with the money my mom gave me and the GC from Jordan. It was a very fun day. Then Sunday the 19th we went to Jordan's parent s to celebrate my birthday. His mom made us raspberry chicken and baked potatoes. It was so good, I got a very cute giraffe (named gerry) and some body wash for my dry skin, a watch and a heat pack... It was a good b-day this year. So Jordan and i left around 10pm to go home, it had been snowing and so we decided to take 114th on ramp right by Jordan's parents house instead of Bangeter. Well we got on the freeway and see one car on the left side smashed into the cement divider, and 2 cars on the left same thing and the cops were there. So we keep going very cautiously. Jordan was testing his brakes as we were going to make sure they were slipping or anything. So we see break lights up ahead and so Jordan started to slow down. I had no idea what was even happening until Jordan said "It's ok Dear", I looked up and we were spinning. Yeah we hit black ice. We did not see the ice because it was still snowing and fresh powder was on top of the ice. There were about 5 cars that were over by where we were when we were spinning. I was Frozen stiff i had no idea what was going to happen. All i could think was i haven't had babies, we just got married!!! AHHHH!!! haha i know i'm ridiculous but that's what was going through my head. Jordan went for the Exit so we didn't hit the cars braked in front of us. Well we spun and there was a light pole in front of us and a good 7 foot drop of the side. That is when i lost it, i didn't cry or scream i just thought we were going to die. Somehow neither of us know but we ended up with the back bumper a foot away from the light pole, and about 5 feet from another car that had slid off. I was in complete shock. It was the biggest miracle i have ever seen. Jordan and i drove to the nearest parking lot i had been crying so thankful that our lives were spared. We got out of the car and hugged from a while and then decided we weren't going to go home anymore, we went right back to Jordan's parents house and spent the night. thankfully i had the next day off for Presidents Day. Well i didn't sleep at all the night and neither did Jordan. He had a nightmare and i just stared at the ceiling. I was so scared to go to sleep. I didn't sleep for about 4 nights. I am sleeping better now i still get a little freaked out driving and i hate the snow even more than i have ever before and that's saying something!!!! : ( Well we are ok and i am so grateful for our blessing we were given that night. anyways to good news...
My friend Heather got engaged on the 24th and i couldn't be any happier it's like i got engaged again, without the wedding planning stress. haha Love you heather. I have yet to meet her man but i know from of coarse facebook stalking and from becca meeting him i know he is the one and only for her. She asked me to be one of her bridesmaids and i am sooooo excited. haha i love being in weddings. I can't wait to be able to go into the temple and see one of my best friends get married! : ) yay!!
I have been liking my new temporary job. I help out my boss with paperwork while our assistant is out on medical leave. I not only like helping people but it has a awesome perk to it also! haha a $1 raise... OH YEA!!
I have been cooking a lot more lately, the other night i made Chicken Parmesan and mm mmm mmm it was so good. Many more new recipes to come can't wait to make my taste buds dance!!!

Photo book of our dates and wedding

So we started our Valentines Day with giving each other our gifts after work and school. Jordan gave me more than i could imagine... He gave me a teddy bear in which i named Beary, a locket, roses, chocolate and a note! I gave him a photo book of all our dates and things i loved about him written in it. After we gave each other the gifts I had a dentist appt that went a lot longer than i expected and I still needed to get ready. Therefor why i look so scary in the pics... And Jordan had one more class. Weird having work and school on valentines but it was still great!!  haha Anyways, So we went to California Pizza Kitchen and got right in. It was so good! Then we went to "The Vow" i cried, but hated the ending! *SPOILER ALERT** She was suppose to remember i was so mad that she didn't remember and that he just gave up!! : ( annoying, maybe he knew she would come back, who know but whatever it was a lame ending!! I am so happy I finally have someone to spend Valentines with! Yeah it was fun to go out with the Girls and have anti parties but this is the only way i will ever spend valentines anymore. With the most AMAZING husband a girl can ask for. He spoils me so much!!! : ) So there it is OUR FIRST VALENTINES! I think we did pretty well!

Service does Matter...

Ok so a few weeks ago Jordan and i decided we should make cookies for our neighbors to get to know them and maybe make a friend or two. So we went and delivered the cookies and met our neighbors. Come to find out our complex isn't just for married couples, you can be single and live here too... Strange, i thought so too... Oh well, so we delivered them to our neighbor across the way and he is a single man named Michael and he was so grateful for the cookies and kind gesture. Then the next floor up above him there was a single older lady named Irene. She is from Cuba. She is the cutest old lady ever! She was so nice and was also grateful for the cookies and friendship. We told her where we lived and if she needed anything to not hesitate to ask. The other neighbors were also grateful but this story isn't about them. : )
About a week ago i came home from work and find a card on our door. I was curious to find out who it was from because we don't know very many people in our complex yet. I opened it up and it was from our friend across the way, Michael. He wrote a note in it and said how appreciative he was for the kind gesture. Then tonight our sweet friend Irene came down and knocked on our door and asked for our help to bring in a TV she had bought due to her 20 year old TV breaking. While Jordan and another neighbor was bringing in the TV i was talking to Irene. She said to me "I knew you would help because you had said before if i needed anything to come get you." I am so glad that we brought cookies to her. She has a bum leg and had surgery on it a while back and she said it's still not up to par. Anyways we got the TV up to her apartment and set up the cable and DVD player. I have never seen someone so excited to have a TV working before. She is the cutest old lady and i am so happy that she is our neighbor. : )

Service does matter, go out of your way and make someones day. It will make your day for sure in the end!

Valentines Day & New Goings On...

Ok all you Love Birds and Hopefuls. I am so excited for this Valentines Day! This is the first Valentines that actually means something. I finally have a Love to celebrate this lovely holiday with! I have been so excited for this day since we got married. I have thought over and over what i wanted to get Jordan and i finally figured it out. I waited for the package to arrive. It was like waiting for Christmas. It finally came yesterday. i had to work late yesterday so Jordan got the package from the office. I rushed home and opened it up. Oh my it was better than i thought it was gonna be... I cannot wait for Tuesday. I had to hide it so i wouldn't give it to him early! Ahhh... This week is almost over i can do this... Anyways, i hope you all have an amazing Valentines whether it be with your Hubby's,Wives, Families, BF's GF's or with your Friends that you love!

On the News Side...
I got a calling, i am the Relief Society Birthday Specialist. I am so excited for this calling. I can't wait to meet more people and do the thing i love most. I love Birthdays. : ) Jordan is still waiting for a calling and is very eager to get one and serve whoever he is suppose to serve with the calling he gets. At work i was asked to step up and help the coordinator while our assistant coordinator is on sick leave. I am now the acting assistant until she comes back. I got a 1$ pay raise and i am actually liking it. It seemed to be a lot harder than it has been. Ok i have only been doing it for a week now but i think it will be ok for now. We'll see what the future brings. Jordan is in the process of finding an internship and filling out grant papers. There are a lot of benifits to getting married. It so much Fun!!

~Grateful Young Lady~

Yesterday i went to a dear friends Baby shower and had so much fun. It is so strange to think that i have friends that are having babies and even girls that were beehives when i was a laurel are getting married. I sure do feel quite old. Yes i know you are thinking wait until you're my age because that's what i always hear. I am so excited for Davey and Brittney, little Sophie is one lucky girl. She has the most amazing mommy. Brittney and i have been friends since 07 where we met in our PG YSA ward on a random Sunday she was visiting and we have been friends ever since. We had some good times and she is one heck of a friend. She is always there for me with advice, a hug, or just to talk.Even though we lived over 300 miles away at times she was always there. This post is definitely going to be about Gratitude.
I am so very grateful for the Gospel, it has influenced my every move in my life. I am so very grateful for my family and the influence they have had in my life. My parents always trusted my judgement and always trusted my decisions and supported them. I decided to move to Provo after i was struggling with my job and with friend situations, and my grandmother passing away. I had to make something with my life, i wasn't going to school and i wasn't dating anyone. I thought about going on a mission and actually started to go to Missionary prep classes for institute. I prayed and thought about it daily. I couldn't get past my anxiety of being away from home and feeling inadequate in serving the Lord. I felt like i needed to be here and not on a mission.
I came home from my grandma's funeral and going to Santa Barbra with Autumn to re-collect my thought and feelings about what was going on in my life. I was sick of not being someone and not living with a purpose. I put my 2 weeks in and i was out of that job. I then realized i didn't have enough money to move quite yet so i helped my sister out for a few weeks as i saved more. We left for Provo for my friend Brittney's reception the same Brittney that is prego, and for Woman Conference which opened my eyes even more. We looked around at some apartments and i moved into Raintree Commons that week. No job, No clothes, Nothing except the 3 day bag i packed for the weekend... This is what i like to call divine inspiration and a leap of Faith! I called my sisters up and asked them to pack all the stuff in my room and bring it up to me i wasn't coming home. I knew if i went home I wouldn't be able to do it on my own. I would prolong the process and not come up. Something told me I would be making a HUGE mistake if i didn't stay here. I was soon to figure out why i was suppose to be here.
I met Jordan 3 weeks after i moved here we dated for 4 months and we were engaged and later married 8 months after we met. I am so happy i listened to my heavenly father to stay here and not to go home. I cannot imagine my life without him. I am so very Grateful for all the trials, tribulations, sadness, conflict, tragedy, heartbreaks, happiness, and love in my life for i would not be the person i am today. So thank you to all the people that hurt me, disappointed me and helped me through my hard times in life. You are why i am who i am today! I love you so very much! : ) The Lord, and the Gospel are very real and i would do anything for either one.
A very Grateful young lady!
