Being a mom has been everything I could ever ask for! This is what I wished and prayed for and I can't believe that it finally has happened for us. Even though some days it is really hard, I can't imagine my life any differently.
We have had quite the month this month. Jake had to have emergency surgery. His appendix ruptured awhile ago and he didn't realize it! I don't know how that was possible but he managed to do it. It ended up being a little more difficult than anticipated and he ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days. When he came out of surgery he was in such intense pain, none of the pain meds were working. It was horrible!! Turns out that it is still not over. Because of the condition of his appendix, they had to leave part of it in because it was attached to his large intestine. The doctor is now concerned about the intestine and wants him to get a colonoscopy and possible re-surgery! We are praying that it is not the case. To make matters worse, I ended up getting food poisoning! We are so grateful for all of the family support and to everyone help us get through it!
It was extremely hard watching Jake go through so much pain. I have never experienced so much EMOTIONAL pain in my whole life. All I wanted to do was make it better and I couldn't, it was the hardest thing I have watched and I still have nightmares about it to this day.
The only thing that has been helping me through this stressful part in our lives is my testimony and faith in our Heavenly Father. I know that as long as we are doing what we are suppose to do and paying our tithing that everything will work out. Mya has been so amazing about lifting our spirits during this hard time, she is the strongest one out of all of us. It is just what I need when we have a tough day and see her laughing and smiling. I'm so grateful for having her in our lives!! I love my family so much!
