..Phew, the last weekend was so hectic.. but truly a marvelous and an exciting one at the NSEF confluence.. Whomever I met, I was really impressed with their initiatives, their energy, their dedication to make things happen and metamorphose dreams to actions etc… The NSEF confluence was organized well.. it was wonderful..

I learnt a lot of things like understanding each other’s visions, networking and most appealingly understand how things work in other sectors or organization.

One particular speaker that impressed me was Mr. Anshu Gupta, with what he had conveyed, I learnt that there are so many issues in India which goes unaddressed, he threw light on realities on the streets of Delhi,health of women in India and why no one has even bothered to look at them. He just made me feel like, I have not done anything that can make this world a better place. My hunger, excitement, energy all gos elevated with those thoughts. I felt I should start working for the causes he had mentioned immediately… Just jump and start working.. but NO I need to stick to my own set of visions and what I want to do..alas I don’t know what to do, I wanna do what I get!!

I met another interesting speaker Ms. Priya Naik from Samitha, on speaking to her about VforM and on my willingness to change the society, she suggested that I get myself experienced and gain knowledge to work full time with the area of my interest. A good Advice!!

The main reason I went to the conference was to meet people who could help me in Volunteer for Manipur! and for CSED. This two forums have become my home of interest.

I have this urge of calling all the people in the NSEF conference, the young ones, to VIT and VforM and request them to see the most talented set of people are not out there but in Vit and Manipur!!.. funny naa, but true!!

Above all I am wishing something very dearly, I hope I get selected as a Starting Bloc fellow!!..it’s an honest wish for something good!!! I really have a very slim line of hope to get selected!!..but still what’s bad in hoping!! Currently I am looking for an internship, internship at a Social Entre org or a Social Changing foundations.

Right now I am back home for diwali.. and I am just praying that the diwali goes good!!..c ya soon!

…I am back early now.. it is 2 in the morning… sleep is not touching my eyes. I don’t know why..reflecting back into what I did through out my day, I feel I have done nothing even if I done 100’s ofactivities… this is just the way my day goes!!..

Yesterday two things fascinated me, I visited a reading club at Amlas, near VIT, and telling you honestly I was impressed with what I saw. The aunty at Amlas was discussing an issue on why do people write, why are songs up? I mean I dint expect students at VIT to do such discussions..i always feel that students at VIT are more into me, mine and myself and not giving back to the society, or to do things that will make people happy…so the discussion was like , do they [writers/artist/authors etc] write or sing because they are either snatched away from there rights such as lack of love,

freedom etc.. the idea was that do these writers write because they are not given enough space in there life to express themselves?.. I dint understand what all were being discussed. All went over my head, dint make much sense to me…I have a different opinion/perspective to all that was discussed yesterday.. but I shall definitely go there every Wednesday at 6:30 to learn something new!!

The other thing that fascinated me was the F4 club which a friend of mine has started in Vellore.. it’s a club where people in your facebook contacts come and meet , not virtually, but in presence.. this way the bonding can improve and get to know people better.. a simple and good concept.. I think this type of club already exist in many cities like Chennai, Bangalore etc.. neways through F4 I am hoping to get to meet more people and learn new things…

My perspective to what the aunty at AMLAS was discussing:

Change can come to a society or to an environment only if people take interest in each other and try to things that will make others happy..I feel it is best to convey a message through a video, documentary or a song, that way it gets more touching and the message gets conveyed well …the message gets loud and clear. The youth today needs more of visual message rather then message conveyed in books… I don’t know what you have to say!

In the past few months I have learnt a lot..really a lot.. I was shown doors to social Entrepreneurship.. and i liked it a lot.. why did I like it?.. well because I found it very interesting and I feel that through #socent I would be able to make the best of me in the society…with all that I have..the skills, the knowledge, the talent etc..i wanna put it together and make a change to what is required in the society.. I know that the society is ever changing and the need to address new problems and issues is of the utmost. Hence here I am , to make a change and be the CHANGEMAKER.

its 2: 40 am now and yet I am not feeling sleepy.. I have this sudden urge to swim now!!..dont know why?.. always upto something new!!
