Scott & Aimee have a Baby

Image
Last Saturday night (9-27) two of our best friends, Scott and Aimee Smith (Aimee is one of my old roommates), had their little baby Dallin.  He was 7lbs8oz (I think) and 21 inches long!  Jordan and I went to see them Sunday before church.  He is such a cutie!  And has so much hair :)
Congratulations guys!

Tanner's Secret

I just read Nate & Kelly's blog post "Monkey See, Monkey Do" (if you haven't seen it, click on the link, it is so funny!) and it reminded to post these funny pictures of Tanner.
So last week Uncle Braden came to visit and taught Tanner a great trick
ImageBraden was trying to hide the tennis balls from tanner by putting them under his shirt (but just around his stomach) and Tanner thought that was just the coolest trick ever and had to try it out for himself.  It was so funny!  Tanner walked around for about 5 min before he pulled them out!

ImageAnd I had to post this picture of Dallin looking up at his "Big" brother Tanner.  haha, he looks a little worried.

I'm not sure how much Nate and Kelly enjoy Jordan and I living so close to them (like 10 ft away close), but we LOVE it!  Our nephews  are just so dang cute and silly!

One Year!

Image
Image
ImageLast Monday was our ONE YEAR anniversary!  Can you guys believe it has already been one whole year!?  It doesn't seem like it has been that long, but when I look over our blog and see all of the things we have done this past year it seems more real.  So Jordan gave a talk in church on Sunday about talents, and embarrassed me like CrAzY!  (Now I'm glad we're switching wards, so only half the people will remember).  He wasn't trying to embarrass me, he was trying to be sweet, but man was it embarrassing!  So I think I should list some of his talents and the wonderful sweet things he does for me :)  I'm pretty sure these won't be embarrassing though, just reasons why  I'm grateful to have him as my eternal companion <3>
incredibly good looking; let's me pick out his clothes when we go shopping; eats the food I make (and really makes me believe he likes it, even if he doesn't); great sense of humor and very funny; loves doing the laundry - and is good at it; does the dishes for when I cook (and other times too of course); such a hard worker; always trying to learn - he would love to go to school forever and get degrees in every area possible; loves me SO much and always tells me that he does; he has great hair that I get to cut and he gets to clean up; intelligent; has an incredible testimony that is always strengthening my own; great at sports even when he hasn't played them in a long time; lucky - he wins so much stuff (I used to think it was because he would cheat, but no, he's just down-right lucky!); encourages me to pursue things I enjoy; great singing voice; comes up with great Family Home Evening lessons; organized; always takes the garbage out for me; very healthy; goal oriented; super sweet; tells me how beautiful I am each and ever day; selfless 99% of the time - serving others (including me of course) is one of his all time favorite things; watches chick-flicks with me without ever complaining; fulfills his church callings and assignments excels at any job he has; is the best husband in the entire world (for ME!!!)
Yup, I guess I'm pretty lucky too!  Well, maybe not lucky, I guess I'm just blessed!  So, one year down, and an eternity more to go . . .
Well, on our anniversary Braden (Jordan's brother) came to visit us.  We went to Craigo's for dinner with Nate, Kelly and their two boys Tanner and Dallin.  Jordan got me some chocolates from Florences and a print of O Jerusalem by Greg Olsen (one of my favorites).
Here are some pics from dinner . . .

And We're Back

From This . . .
Image
To This . . . In just two days!
Image We drove from Pennsylvania through Ohio, through Indianna, through Iowa to get to Kansas in one day.  We left early morning Sunday and got to Omaha late Sunday night.  Monday morning we woke up early and drove through the rest of Nebraska, through Wyoming and ended up home in Rexburg, Idaho.  It was a lot of driving for only two days!  And can you believe it actually SNOWED (yes that picture really was taken just a few days ago)!!  We were less than 3 hours away from Rexburg when it started snowing in Wyoming.  Welcome Home I guess.  We made it home around 10:30pm and our good friends
Image
Scott and Aimee came by to help us unload the car and welcome us home.  Nate and Kelly were also super sweet and stocked our place with a gallon of milk and some cereal for breakfast in the morning!  It's so wonderful to be back around family and close friends!!  The past few days we've just been unpacking, organizing our apartment, and playing with our nephews that we missed so much!  Dallin was born while were in PA so this was our first time meeting him, and man is he a cutie!! And Tanner has grown so much in the past few months! I was afraid he might not remember me, but no need to worry, he still has my name down pat!  Since it's nice outside we've had our front door open while we're home, and so have Nate and Kelly, so every once in a while we'll catch Tanner standing by the door waving and calling my name.  Nate says it'll get old fast, maybe for them, but not for me!  He's just too dang cute!  My little nephews sure know how to win me over!
Well, we definitely already miss things about the East Coast, but we're glad to be back.  School starts next week so things will be picking up very soon!
