Memorial Day weekend we had an office beach party at cocoa beach. It was blast! It started pouring rain on our drive out there, but the weather was beautiful once we arrived.
We ate Chipotle, played some games, but mostly just relaxed and visited with friends. It was a perfect day!
The guys love to make silly wagers with each other when they are out selling. Apparently Spencer lost this one.
This is our manager Ty, his wife Staci, and little boy Rocco. Cute huh?!
Calin LOVED the ocean this time! He's been asking everyday to go back to the beach. I think he's even forgotten about Disney World because he loved the beach so much!
He loved standing in the water yelling growling at the waves. It was pretty funny to watch.
We have a great little summer family out here, and it is so much fun!
It has been almost a month since Capri took her first steps, and this past week she's really picked up her game. I'd say she's now walking about 60% of the time. It's turning her into quite the brave little girl. Calin knocks her down a lot! And last week we were over at a friend's house (7 mom's 12 kids) all packed into one little apartment, 12 kids running around playing, and Capri walked around in the middle of it, getting bumped and knocked down every 10 seconds, but still smiling and getting back up again :)
We had a Beach Party this weekend with our office (more on that another day), so here is another video of her learning to walk - on Cocoa Beach.
This is what our family looked like the last time we were at a beach on the Atlantic.
Picture taken about 50 feet from our "summer beach home" on the Jersey Shore 2009 while I was 8 months pregnant with Calin.
And this is three summers later.
Yeah we forgot to pack Calin's swim trunks, oops.
Not everyone would be happy with the life I have, but I guess that's why it's mine. I love my life! I have an incredible husband who makes my world spin. And my kids, well they are just the cutest little things ever, right?!
Capri and I hung out in the beach tent most of the time. She wasn't a fan of the sand, but loved the extra cuddle time (and so did I!)
There are lots of things I look forward to, like Jordan finishing grad school and getting a "real" job, owning a home, not moving every few months, the list goes on and is probably a little too long. I think life will be great when those things happen, but my life is great now too! Actually it's better than great, it is WONDERFUL! There will always be things I wish I had, or things I wish I didn't have to do, things to look forward to, and things that are hard, but there are always so many wonderful things every day. And today, I'm in Florida, with family and friends, fun things around every corner, and creating memories that will last forever. I'll always look back on these summer days in our college life and miss them.
I had a wonderful Mother's day. And I hope all you other mothers did too! And to all the mothers in our lives we sure do love you!!!
I was a bridesmaid in my friend Amy's wedding Easter weekend at the Salt Lake Temple. I've known Amy for about 13 years, and she's always been like a little sister to me so it was a pretty special day! Somehow I forgot my camera, so I snagged this facebook pic.
We spent Easter with our friends Scott and Aimee. Calin loved hunting for Easter eggs this year
at one of the community Easter egg hunts
We moved! Across the country! AGAIN!
I stayed with the Wu's (my s.i.l.'s siter & fam) while Jordan drove. Then I flew with the kids. {that part was not so fun}
So, goodbye Idaho! And Hello Florida for the next 4 months!
Capri took her first steps a couple weeks ago. She loves walking while holding our hand, but I'm sure it will be a couple months before she's a full-time walker.
(we took a video of it, but I haven't been able to upload it, I'll try to take another one soon)
I took the kids back to Disney World last week. We went to Animal Kingdom and had a blast! My new friend Janelle came along with us, the kids just adore her!
Calin is usually scared with the characters, but he LOVED Pooh! He's still asking to back and see Pooh and give him a hug :) Good thing I have an annual pass!
We met up with two other friends and their kids also.
We walked around Downtown Disney one day with Jordan.
Yesterday we went to Hollywood Studios, and had a great time of course!
We also were able to visit with Jordan's grandparents and great grandma last Sunday.
We spend a lot of time at the pool in the afternoons while Jordan is working. Calin is still not a fan of the water, but Capri LOVES it!!
We have lots of fun things planned this summer, so hopefully I'll keep up with the blog so I can share all the fun!
