Christmas with Watsons.

I love Christmas! This was mine and Jeremy's first Christmas together and it couldn't of been better! We decided that we wanted to be at home and begin our holiday traditions. One of these was making Christmas dinner. So we invited Jer's brother and sister-in-law and i made half the meal and they made the other half.

This was the first time I have ever made a turkey by myself. Sure there were many years where I assisted my mother during the preparing of a meal and i knew it took alot of work, but doing it all by yourself can turn out to an all day kind of thing.

Now my meal was not perfect...there were a couple mishaps in my meal (which i figured was going to happen.) The first one was actually with the turkey. It was going perfect (even though i had no sort of roasting pan) then suddenly about half way during the turkey's cooking time i heard a sizzling noise I went to check on it but figured it was just cooking.


I later found out that part of the bag in the back (where i could not see) had been melted for it was over the side of the pan. So my bag stuck to the turkey taking off some of the skin, but it still tasted really good. Another mishap was with the sweet potatoes. I cooked them for an hour but for some reason they would not cook. Anyways...by the time it was for dinner i decided not to serve them. So after dinner I tasted them...guess what, it was really good. Anyways it all worked out and it was a really good for my first Christmas dinner.

Christmas presents early!!!

So this is maria's mama and papa's Christmas present. Just in case it didn't make it on time i am putting it up here...and since i know my parents don't check this frequently I know that they won't see it till i call them on Christmas day! So enjoy everyone else.

Over the Break

This is Jeremy, First off. and I have decided to contribute to this blog because it is Maria's invention and I love her.

So here we are the 23rd of December, getting ready for church. I would have to say that so far this holiday season has been spectacular. Getting to spend the holidays with your beautiful wife is #1 in my book. We have seen several movies at the theatre which is rare, we have worked on our thankyou/christmas cards, but more than anything we have enjoyed being 100% each others for over a week. FANTASTIC. I am glad to see that Steph is checking this blog and whoever else is. Welcome, well thats the 3 minutes I had. Love you guys. and I LOVE MARIA MORE!!!!!

Movie Night

So Jer and i have been working on our Thank you/Christmas cards pretty much all day and natural he got a little stir crazy so we went and saw "I Am Legend." Let me tell you what...Will Smith can act his butt off. Seriously...i was so impressed and had it been anyone else in the role, i just don't think it would have worked. Jer has been talking about it since we got back an hour ago. It def wasn't a changing your life movie...We'd give it a 9/10 though. I'd recommend it as long as you don't mind flashy scary things. And Jer was so nice not to make fun of me when i got a little scared (I'll admit my hand was covering my eyes a couple times...but thats just cause i am a tad on the wimpy side.)
I am hoping to see "Enchanted" on our next outing. I have been wanting to see it since I saw the previews in HP! Speaking of HP!!!! Rowling said that Dumbledore is GAY!!! No lie! look here http://www.newsweek.com/id/50787 Seriously...It's not a character I would have ever thought was gay and i am normally pretty one that kinda stuff. O well...guess ya really never know. AND she also didn't let Hagrid get married how sad is that.
Ok...done. If i keep going This will go on forever cause of all the movies i want to see coming up (such as the new Batman movie...talk about excited!) Seriously done now.

The Christmas cold

I absolutely love Christmas...but wouldn't you know i would catch a cold. I guess that makes sense since it has been snowing like crazy and i wanted to play in it. So now I sound all funny and have to blow my nose 50 times in an hour. I had plans of going out and i so want to but at the same time i don't want to get everyone sick...sigh. Big dilemma.
And of course Jeremy is now coming down with it. That must be one of the most surprising things about marriage...if he get something then i get it. And vise-versa. There was always a possibility of course...but every time? It's pretty crazy. So I guess i will just sip my Stephen's Hot cocoa and deal with it.

I (Maria) use to have one of these...I don't quite remember it being this cool, but maybe thats cause I never really got into it. These blog will be the day-to-day (well maybe not day-to-day but you know what i'm saying) inner workings of the newest Married couple to the Juarez and Watson Family.
