Emily is 2!!

Image Yesterday was Emily's birthday and we had a fun party with all her friends! She loves colors and coloring with crayons so we had a color themed party with colorful food and games. Emily is learning a lot lately, she can count to ten perfectly (sometimes minus the 9), and she loves the letters "O" and "U" which she starts saying in anticipation right after C or D. Her favorite things to do lately are looking at pictures (especially if they have her in them), reading stories (namely Henny Penny, Farmer in the Soup, and Go Dog Go), and of course coloring pictures. She recently finished her second Mom and Me swimming class and loves the water. Her vocabulary is really growing and we are amazed everyday at the things she says. She is such a fun little girl, we love her and it's a joy to have her in our family.

Spring Flowers in Feburary!

ImageWe have pretty yellow daffodils in our yard, I can't believe winter is already coming to an end! Luckily we did get out and enjoy the snow a little, but it didn't seem near enough. We'll start planning for next year!

We Are Alive!

I know some of you have been wondering if we are really still alive, it has been way too long since we have updated. We had a fun end of the summer, highlights were; Bear Lake with the Thayne family, a week in Eagar with the Crosby family, and a 3 day backpacking trip with just our little family (Emily did great). Then in October we went to Chandler Arizona for an entire month while Mike worked on a project at the Intel plant there. It was fun to be with Mike's family there for so long but it was also a lot of work for Mike. As you can see from the pictures Emily is still growing fast, she has become a pretty little girl and has her own sweet personality. We also have an announcement, Emily will become a big sister around the 25th of July! We will try to be better about updating in the months to come.

Proud to Be An American

Image
We had a great 4th of July with all the fixins to make one proud to be an American. Starting the day off with a parade full of boy scouts, war veterans, dairy queens, cool classic cars, and horses of courses. Then we had a yummy BBQ with corn on the cob, and watermelon. And ended the day going to a smaller town nearby to see one of the best firework shows ever, without the crowds. There was also a demolition derby going on, what's more American than that!
