Williams - Color Vibe

A couple weekends ago, the kids and Herb ran in the Color Vibe 5K Fun Run. Herb's brother works for the company and held a race here so they got to run for free. It was fun to watch them and they are excited to do it again next year.

This year we have Lily from the Munsters, a Witch, Cinderella, a Butterfly,

Doug the Mechanic, and a Cowboy.

Williams - Annual Genereal Conference Pie Contest

 

We started this tradition last year on October General Conference. I make Banana Crème Pie (Herb's favorite) and then I make 6 extra pies from whipping cream and we have a pie throwing event in our backyard. Luckily we have had sun on that day both years in a row. It is super fun and over before you know it but everyone enjoys it (although Abby was a little confused and scared about the whole thing).

Williams - Football

Herbie played flag football this year. He loved it and wanted to play tackle but they didn't offer tackle for his age group so he had to settle for flag. We just finished the season.

Football Fans! Grandma Williams was in town for the last game.

 Herbie was excited that she was able to see him play.

Williams - ice skating & horses

Ice Skating. The kids begged to go ice skating all summer so I told them if they mastered rollerblading then I would take them. We've been ice skating before and they were not very good at it. Now that they rollerblade, their ice skating skills improved and I never had to help them along. It was great fun!

If you have not read this book, I highly recommend it. It is excellent and gives you a whole new perspective on spending, saving, and giving. It has changed our lives and our habits.

Williams - the summer has come to a close

The last of our summer fun!
Now it is time to get up early and do homework everyday.
I am going to miss the kids being home.
I am going to miss the warm weather and the boat.

 Sage grew this enormous cabbage for a school contest. It weighed 5.5 lbs. It was huge!

 

 After our week long boating to Prineville over the 4th, Kelli and Brandon's family came back to our house with us and we spent a day at the coast. It was a beautiful day and we explored a small tunnel that leads from one beach to another.
