Weathering
Jagged pink lightening flashing,
March lion loud, fierce, roaring,
Old woman lays awake praying,
Old man sleeps lightly snoring,
One for safety earnestly pleading,
One for full and complete trusting,
One old couple, storms weathering…

Let’s pull down the shade on the Overton Window,
Throw all of our devices away,
Go outside and feel the sunshine,
Remember what it’s like to hear yourself pray,
(what it’s like to pray)
Feel that D.C. Empire fading, feels so good,
Feels so good so far away,
Gangster drama stay far away!
Then when this day is over, watch the sun-set,
Laugh and watch our children play,
So happy when they play!
(breathe fresh air and play)
Forget things used to divide us, (not let them divide us)
In the light of a purple moon sing, dance, and sway!
All God’s children holding hands together, the American way!
Let’s start a new day,
In the old way,
Differences held at bay,
The Constitutional way,
Jesus’ Way,
It starts when we pray…

Ozark is a temperamental woman, a beauty beyond compare,
Green velvet dress or’ ample curves, rainbow flowers in her hair,
Standin’ tall and proud as a mountain, of her moods best beware…
One minute her smile is sunny, see eyes flash, her temper flare!
Black clouds come a rollin’ thunder and lighting’, to give a scare,
She’ll go to crying’, rivers a rising’, you had better say a prayer,
She roars like a lion, angry tornado throwin’ ever’ thang in the air!
Her fury leaves so much destruction, too much misery to bear…
Think about leavin’, divorce this woman, no more her chaos share!
Says she is sorry and with a warm gentle breeze, dries ever’ tear…
Never leave my temperamental woman, true love keeps me here.

Chicken train, chicken train, can’t get on, can’t get off, chicken train,
Like a rock rollin’ in my brain, politics is a chicken train,
Chicken train, chicken train, can’t get on, can’t get off, chicken train,
Right or left it’s all the same, final destination chicken train,
Chicken train, chicken train, can’t get on, can’t get off, chicken train,
Pay our taxes all the same, we’re all feedin’ the chicken train,
Chicken train, chicken train, can’t get on, can’t get off, chicken train,
Send in money hope for change, fatten-up the chicken train,
Chicken train, chicken train, can’t get on, can’t get off, chicken train,
Throwin’ bombs in our name, yup the elites have gone insane,
Chicken train, chicken train, can’t get on, can’t get off, chicken train,
Uncle Donny says we’ll win, people know we’re losin’ again,
Chicken train, chicken train, can’t get on, can’t get off, chicken train,
Lord we’re here on our knees, won’t You please, get us off this
Chicken train, chicken train, chicken train, chicken train, chicken train….

Reaching for morning in the middle of the night,
All my days gone dark, no more sun-shine-light,
My pillow soaked with tears, that I cried all night,
Storm-cloudy-days, and cold-hard-rain-ever-night,
Reaching for morning in the middle of the night!
Then some sweet angels heard of my sad plight!
On wings of a dove flew pure love, glowing white!
Shh! Listen up! This is what that Holy Dove said:
Let the Son shine in! Son shine in! Oh SON-LIGHT!
Open up your heart, let the Son Light up your night,
Sins dark days end,in His pure-white-robbed-Light,
Bright Morning Star to reach for, in the middle of night!

A heavy wet blanket of fog,
Dropped, gently down from Heaven…
Manna!
Filling the air with the aroma of spring!
Cuddling the newborns….
Nourishing!
The land receives with rejoicing!
Squirrels celebrate in happy play,
All the birds sing hymns of praise,
The drought ended!
Only man complains;
For the fog hampers
His Monday plans…

Quieted-crystal-still, wet morning;
Cozy…my world sleeping in,
Outside, the sky is gently weeping,
So many tears on my window pane!
Slowly regaining composure,
At violent storm’s end;
I hear a bird symphony rising!
A cacophony of songs to blend,
A communal praise offering,
Survivors celebrating a new day of life!
Bowing heads, giving thanks,
For the banquet rising from the mud,
Meat for their table,
New, pure water to drink!
The beauty, the blessing,
The cruelty and the curse,
Plain-spoken in all nature,
From my window I hear and see,
The struggle, the sacrifice,
The eternal nature of life!
Nature’s story is the story of Jesus Christ…

Time, he plum lost track of me,
He apologized for running late,
Said, saving daylight’s a work of futility!
Gotta fly! Spring-forward by dictate!
Changing clocks I say, is cruel tyranny…
Millions upon millions of souls dangling, on digital threads of perception,
Twisting, trapped within a vast, sticky, binding-web of deception,
Around each, a chrysalis winding, in threads of personal predilection;
AI agents crawl in silent-theft-work, power growing, anticipate consumption.
Truth they break into bytes, then reconstituting fakes, hallucinate illusion,
Tool to think as one for everyone is a tool of powerful delusion…

Here, I am! A little old lady?….
Slipped-flew through a slide-zone,
On-time-arrival in time-zone, elderly…
Time-warp wrinkles skin weakens bone.
Now, I seek the Son each morning,
Feel His warmth on my face,
Relief through my body spreading,
Resting here in His embrace,
Wonderful Truths to me revealing!
My spirit and my soul preparing,
(To go back to from Whom I came)
For my eternal home-going,
To Alpha and Omega, in Jesus’ Name,
Infinite Love, Pure Light, Eternal Life, glorying!
Beyond the darkly-clouded veil,
Of fear, death, war, and pain….
Oh! How wonderful ‘twill be to sail…
And finally be back Home again!
