ImageHow I spent my Mother's Day Weekend...
First I went to Hurricane Thursday night where I stayed with my sister. We spent Friday morning taking the boys to a fun "splash pad" and eating lunch.

Later that day I was at the HHS track participating in the Relay For Life. We had a team for my mom. The relay began at 6:00 pm and went until noon the next day! We camped out in the HHS parking lot, ate a wonderful dinner (dad smoked some ribs and turkey breasts!), and we all took a shift out on the track (I got the 12 to 1 am shift!) It was really great to be with my family and support my mom and this cause!

Early Saturday morning (with hardly any sleep!) I headed back to Salt Lake so that I could go to Eisha's play at 3:30. She was in the play "Enchanted". She did a wonderful job and I am so proud of her! After that I was dropped off downtown at the conference center for our youth's walk-through for a big production that they are in to celebrate the new temple! (It is very involved and I'm not even going to get into that right now!)

Sunday, I was able to sleep in until 7:30 until I had to get up and get ready for church (SLEEP, I NEED SLEEP!!!) I had a wonderful day! Kalani took care of everything, cooked a wonderful meal and did all the cleaning up! Thank you babe! We went for a nice walk that afternoon, and the 2 girls wrecked into each other on their bikes! They will survive. There's a few cuts and bruises, but they will live. Brinley landed on her face, this picture doesn't give the road rash justice, but her nose looks like it might fall off. :) Finally that night I was able to go to my blessed bed. I probably could've slept for a week straight!

ImageThis is my mom, Jill Beardall. She is my HERO! She was diagnosed a year ago with breast cancer. She has fought hard and braved several surgeries, chemo and radiation. As if that wasn't enough, she then found out that she had thyroid cancer as well. So 2 more surgeries and a chemo "pill". She is doing great! I am so proud of her! She has been through so much over this pass year, she truly is a warrior!

Oh yeah, last week I found out that a friend from high school has thyroid cancer also! My mother-in-law had a small lump in her breast but was lucky enough to only have to do some radiation for it. There are countless others that have had battles with cacer also. I know that I can't make this go away, but by walking and showing my support, I hope to KICK CANCERS BUTT!!!!
