We are Indeed Still Alive

Well since my mom has decided not to blog in a while i thought i would take a turn... Just so that everyone knows we are all still alive and doing well. Bobby just got his wisdom teeth taken out and he is doing really well. He loves college and is having way to much fun. Tommy has decided that he happens to be the most attractive boy in the whole middle school. Johnny has taken up reading and he is quite and sweet still. Boe is enjoying preschool and has a lot of fun playing with all of his new friends at school. And Levi, well levi is adoreable, we finally broke down and cut all of his pretty curls off and he now looks like a grown up little boy. Mom and Guy are working and of course having all kinds of fun with us kids. I have not been up to much, i will be getting my driving provisional (it just means i can drive by myself, legally) I have just been helping take care of things and keeping everything held together...kinda... : )

Love,
Amanda Rose

I LOVE FALL!

Image
ImageWe went to Apple Annie's in Willcox and had a great time. We felt a little silly to pay money to pick pumpkins, go on a hay ride and walk through a corn field, but we just don't get a chance to do that kind of stuff anymore. We have turned in to "city folk"!! But it really was fun. Here's the proof!

ImageDoes anyone remember playing in the
planters in the tractor graveyard? I remember
getting in the wheat and covering myself as much as I
could and then eating the wheat. It was probably treated with pesticide! Anyway, Apple Annie's had
these big tubs with corn in them that were the BEST!
The boys played for a long time in there. Now all they
need is a big pile of cotton seed to jump in. Do
any of you remember doing that? Didn't we have
the best childhood! Pesticide and all!!
Happy Fall Everyone!

Well, a few details....isn't that oldest boy of mine handsome? Of course this is the pic that I liked the best. He is off to college in the fall...EAC. Amanda is growing fast and is my right hand gal. She was bein' silly here, but looks super sweet. Johnny loved going to Kartchner Caverns for his field trip this year. He learned a lot and can tell you all about it. Ask him some time. Tommy loves playin' ball. Any kind of ball. And yes, the socks are cool if you wear two colors. Levi is not a baby anymore. He loves to explore his world these days. He does really good if his brothers just leave him alone. That doesn't happen very often. And Boe is busy and movin' as always. He doesn't hold still long enough for me to take his picture!! He has the best smile in the world.

We sure are happy and comfortable here. Just look at those faces...Good to be home.

Settled

Hi everyone! Bet you don't even recognize me anymore!! So much has happened and yet...not much is new. We are settled into my grandma and grandpa Mortensen's home and loving it. It helps alot because we felt at home right away. I spent so much of my youth here and it was the gathering place for my family. We have moved in all of our own stuff, but it is still grandma's house. The cupboards and closets still smell like they always did. It is great!

Work is going ok. I am getting more comfortable with the new stuff they are teaching me. I go to my first "business trip" on May 28th. It is in Albuquerque and only for 2 days. I hope I can handle that. It is a basic Human Resource conference. With a little bit of everything that Ineed to know.  The rest of my training will be online. I have chosen a few classes that the bank will pay for. I am lucky that they understand that I don't want to travel alot.

Our internet is really lousy right now. So I couldn't upload any pictures. Sorry. I know...posts without pics are boring. Hopefully soon we will get better internet.

Update

Still a little out of sorts.

We finally got to move into the house we are renting on Thursday night. For those of you who know, we are renting Tommy and Diane Richardsons old house. We spent the night there, but had to come to grandmas house for my mom to fix us breakfast. Friday I didn't go in to work(slacker, I know) so that I could try to get a handle on things. Guy left for Texas Wednesday to finish some work on the house and he had a few clients to take care of too. So the kids and I have been moving in with a LOT of help from our ward family. The biggest reason why I LOVE Animas. It may not be the prettiest spot on this earth (probably not even in the top 1000!!), but you can't hardly find better members of the church. They are willing to help and  do anything for you. We may even have a job at the San Simon schools for Guy to fill in between his shoeing biz. Thanks to Curry Donaldson (also in our ward now).  He never heard back from the county about the road job, maybe because he wanted to grate it, not grade it!!! Love ya too Lynna!!

Work is going pretty good. They didn't have enough work to keep my busy Wednesday and Thursday because the computers were down. I finally resorted to hand typing all the checks for the bills. I will do just about anything to keep from just sitting at my desk all day. I think Tuesday, they will have me lined out a little better. They haven't had to deal with someone like me for a while. No one else goes around LOOKING for things to do!! Even Randi couldn't believe how fast I was getting things done for her and wanting more. If I am going to spend all day away from my family, it should be worth it, right?!

Love ya all, hopefully, we will be settled in soon. Did I mention that I hate moving?
