Let Ellie McDoodle writer and illustrator Ruth McNally Barshaw show you have to create a story out of thin air! Pencils and paper provided, just bring your nimble fingers and a little imagination. 1-1:45pm at the Chelsea District Library!
Denise Cugliari from Chelsea Chalk Art will lead a chalk art workshop outside in the Reading Garden, weather permitting. She will be demonstrating how to draw iconic superheroes, with chalk provided.

Have you ever wanted to build your own superhero toys and then be able to play with them? Join Master Doodler Merrill Rainey as he helps you cut, color, and create your very own 3D paper toy superhero and paper play set. Learn more about this workshop and others on the Programming Page!

Jet’s Pizza is hosting Lunch with the Artists on Saturday, October 21st! There are two lunch time options to choose from: 12:00pm and 12:45pm. Drinks and two basic pizzas by the slice will be free, but you must register in advance, as seating is limited. Register online or by calling the Chelsea District Library at 734-475-8732 starting August 25, 2017.

Meet Captain SRSLY at the Costume Parade! The Chelsea District Library is the place to be on October 21st! Wear your costume and join us for a costume parade starting at 11:00am in the library’s McKune Room and ending at Jet’s Pizza! All ages are invited to participate. In partnership with SRSLY Chelsea.
Camp PencilPoint is bringing all of its drawing antics and tomfoolery to Chelsea! Join Rubi and Drew and other friends from Camp PencilPoint. For double the fun you can join us a 10:30am and at 3pm! During part one, you will be guided through a step by step tutorial to draw a crazy character. Stick around for part two where you will be taught a silly drawing game guaranteed to make you chuckle. Join us for all the fun, all the drawing… and possibly some bagpipes?
