I noticed PCB limping… one of her back legs, but I couldn’t see which. I figured she pulled something fighting Darth.

Reviewing porchcam clips a little bit ago, I saw her walking and it looks her R rear foot may be broken. She’s putting weight on the leg, but not on the paw. She’s walking on the section between the toes and ankle.

Dr Google says it’s probably plantigrade stance. Given her age & cancer, there’s not much to do. One common cause is diabetes, which she could have. I’ll call tomorrow for a vet appt… probably at the nearby place, since our primary vet moved to WA last year.

GREAT opening!! It made me almost wish I’d paid to attend the view party at a local movie theater.

Previously: I enjoyed the joke about “Dave and Busters, down the block”, cause it’s actually at the base of the red carpet stairs. Jimmy Kimmel had a good joke about that on Thu.

I haven’t seen any of the animation nominations. I’ll look them all up layer and see what’s available to me.

I dunno what’s up for best pic but, between Sinners and One Battle, Sinners deserves it more. One Battle is a great film, but not the best. Sinnets is virtualky 2 films in one, and outstanding

Whoaaaa… upset #2.. Frankenstein got best Costume Design. That leaves Sinners with 14 chances to break the 11 wins record.

Ooops… missed a bunch while trying to update this gifted laptop. It’s weird to get used to not only being on a pc again, but a redonk old one.

Yaaaay… Sinners won something. If you haven’t seen the movie, WATCH IT… it’s seriously good!!

“Have fun stormin’ the castle!.” Nice RIP tributes, despite bad camerawork (seriously, wtf is going on with the camera operators throughout this?). I very very much like them showing famous screenwork of some of the RIP. I’m suddenly reminded that (long lost voxer) Aubrey’s dad was someone important in the industry. (anyone still in touch with Aubrey?)

Backtracking: Yay for Sean Penn… while watching One Battle, I kept thinking he deserved an award.

I didn’t see a lot of the red carpet… loved all outfits that I saw, except Misty Copelands… UGH… jacket should have been fitted and not showing so much front “side boob”. I just scanned pics online… Kristen Wiig’s dress needed to be fitted better. I kinda love that Pedro Pescal’s outfit looks very feminine, while Tig Notaro’s looks very masculine… both fabulous. Sigourney, PLEASE hire a stylist!

I already forgot the last award but I think that makes it official that Sinners won’t set a record. One Battle might still be in contention. I dunno. I can’t find a good website with live updates.

A commercial for Paradise. Is anyone else watching it obsessively? I think there are only 2 episodes left of this season and that’s kinda killing me.

Why is the audience so into Documentaries and Shorts this year?

I’m still playing, “I’ve sat in that seat”, even though there haven’t been a lot of good shots. For those who don’t know, I saw Cirque du Soleil’s IRIS in that theater 16 times – mostly in the front orchestra seats – and took a tour that let us walk on the stage (the stage steps are redonk high… 12″ or more; they made me obsessed with watching the guest hosts on SNL navigate it’s deep stage step during the monologue).

Wow.. Melissa McCarthy is looking great.I like that the attendees are paying attention and playing along with silly-stupid skits. Speaking of which, the new “Reggie Dinkins” show is stupidly fun to watch – no brain power or real attention required.

Yaaay… another win for Sinners… Original Score… VERY well deserved! WOW… who is that presentation assistant and who dressed her? AMAAAAAZING.

Fuuuhhhh… police helicopter circling overhead and I hear police cars coming. Dang this ‘hood.

Another upset… I have no idea what the category was. I’m too lazy to scroll back to see if I already said it but both Sinners and One Battle were great films. Sinners is outstanding all around. One Battle is great as entertainment… much lighter than Sinners.

I dunno how the attendees felt about having to get ready an hour earlier but I bet they’re gonna love the extra hour for partying!! I can & can’t believe I’ve never been invited to a celebrity Oscar’s party. I’m a nobody, but I’ve known a lot of semi-somebodies.

Film Editing = One Battle. I’m torn… it had great cinematography & editing, but so did Sinners.

I like Demi’s dress… it’s a LOT, but she can pull it off.

30 min left (officially)… I’m enjoying this year’s show… might even watch the local repeat that starts in an hour.

International Feature = Sentimental Value. I want to watch all of the nominees… I’ve seen none and never heard of any of them before now (but I’ve also been avoiding news/reality for awhile). I loooove Elle Fanning’s dress! I dunno who the guy in white is (R of the speaker), but his suit really needed to be tailored.

Whoaaa… had a little work done, Lionel? It’s not the worst I’ve seen, but it’s not great. Face and eyebrow lifts; chin tuck? That said, he looks good for 76.

Original Song = Golden (KPop Demon Hunters). Good for them I guess… I really don’t know anything more than it being animation and super popular with kids. Cutting off the acceptance speeches??? RUUUUUDE (even though I know they’re trying to meet their show deadline of 17 more minutes… hahahahahahaaaaaa… AS IF!!!

Best Actress (sorry, but M Madison still didn’t deserve it last year; she was great in her film, but not Best overall): Jesse Buckley (Hamnet)… MAJOR surprise/upset!!!

Best Picture… 11 nominees: ONE BATTLE whoooaaa… shock! GREAT film, but Sinners was waaaaaaay better in every single category.

This happened today:

I just enjoyed my 3rd afternoon of sunbathing/vit D. I took a shower and my skin feels wonderful! When my hair dries, I’m gonna try to walk to a store for some soda, then…

OSCARS NIGHT! I’ve seen Sinners and One Thing… loved both of them. Not sure what other nominees I’ve seen. I meant to watch Hamnet yesterday, but I got distracted.

My knee is pretty much recovered, butnow I have sciatica. My back treatment was also denied again. I’m seeing the back specialist tomorrow.

I started shoulder PT last week and just the first exercise resulted in massive improvement. I doubt I’ll need all 12 appts.

I’m sure I have a gum infection, similar to the one that caused me to lose a tooth years ago. Just like that time, I saw a local dentist ($195 to look at just that spot) and it was blown off as NBD… food getting caught, but the sensation hasn’t gone away. I’m extra annoyed about that because my knee replacement means I’m supposed to get antibiotics with any dental procedures. No procedure was done, but it’s virtually the same (open gums) – moreso when I already stated that I was afraid it was getting infected! I’ll leave a msg requesting antibiotics. If they don’t automatically provide them, I’ll go back to my former dentist ($$$).

Kitties are well. PCB is still doing okay… sleeping more but climbing onto the bed, bright eyes, etc. A couple days ago, I felt a large hard mass in her abdomen… our time is running out.

Darth is being a butthead… he tries to rough-house with all the other cats, even a couple of the ferals. Most hate it and try to avoid him. PCB wants to kill Darth. Leeloo seems to enjoy the rough-housing – to the point that the fur on her sides is dramatically thinner from all of Darth’s grabbing.

I have a “busy” week coming up – an appt every single day. That shouldn’t be an issue, but I still stress for days ahead of time and get overwhelmed if I have to deal with too many idiots while I’m out. My tolerance has become very low.

Gary Numan is performing locally on Apr 10, but I haven’t bought a ticket yet. I don’t know if that’s buttlagging or instinct… will I be in too much pain to attend? It’s happened before.

Scheduled May events are: 2 comedy shows in 2 nights (part of Netflix Is A Joke), then a night or 2 in San Diego, meeting my WGU mentor (who’s now my friend). I onow thete’s a big list of other things I wanted to check out, like… KANGAROO YOGA… yes, yoga with real kangaroos!! It’s really far, in a really hot area. If I’m gonna do it, it needs to be SOON, before temps get worse.

The travel neighbors gave me a nice cassette-to-mp3 converter and I’ve been burning copies of the recordings that DJs made during friends’ bday parties at clubs in the early 90s.

The neighbors also gave me an old laptop. I booted it up and it’s Win7!!! SEVEN. Waaaay old!! I had already ordered a Win8.1 bootable USB, to repair my old notebook pc, and will try to upgrade the gifted pc.

My phone is failing in a big way… constantly overheating, which puts it into a rebooting loop till it cools down (sometimes in the fridge). I’m looking at a variety of refurbed phones – I don’t really have money for one, and none have headphone jacks or expansion card slots anymore, which annoys me.
