Smarties

Image
Tonight since the boys were at football practice the girls asked if we could do something "girlish", so I whipped out the good old fingernail polish. As Marcie was picking out the perfect color she came across an old bottle of red paint that Jaden used to paint his pinewood derby car a couple years ago. She remembered that he used it to paint his car . I was totally shocked she could remember that so long ago and only being 2years old too!!! I asked her how in the heck she got so smart? She proudly anwsered...
"Because I eat lots of smarties!"

Heartbeep Jr.

Image When Jaden was about three years old he found a lizard that he named Heartbeep. He carried him around for a few days, even after he was dead and stiff. To this day he still has a love of all things creepy crawly. The kids found this cute baby lizard, and it just reminded me of the time Jaden carried around his dead friend for days. I'm happy to report this little guy survived the Lovins LOVE.

Naked and on the Field

So we've been watching lots of the movie Sandlot lately. It's one of our family favs. It's Graham's first time to really get into the movie. We hear quotes all the time from the Classic. Of course we hear quotes like this one:

"Isn't that your sister naked out there on the field? "

The character Ham say's this doozie. Graham repeats. Probably because he thinks it's hillarious.

Why do they ALWAYS remember the naughty stuff????

Memories for Me!

Image Just playing TOGETHER in the mud. Moments I don't want to forget.

Future Sun Devils

Image Jaden got to play Chase and Brycen's team last week. They were so excited to "VS." each other. It is was so much fun to watch them play. Dar told J if he sacked the quaterback (chase) he'd pay him $10.00!!! He was so pumped about it and was totally in the zone the whole week before the game. No QB tackle, but a really awesome dive trying. They love THE GAME and are the cutest players around!

Homemade Love

Image This year for my birthday the kiddos really made my day by making me all sorts of lovely little gifts. Allie made me this beautiful necklace that is so colorful and goes with everything! Then the whole gang got together and made a lego extravaganza. They know it's my DREAM to go to New York City someday and so they brought NYC to me. Below is the lego sculpture of the Statue of Liberty, a little boat in the water (probably near the statue I presume), a pogo stick(??), and a hotel (probably where we will stay when all my dreams come true.) It made my day the absolute BEST!!! I LOVE you guys tons and tons!

Attack of the Harley Davidson

Image
Image It was a beautiful Labor Day night. We were engaging in a lazy FHE...UNO! The game was going great. Graham had got out first and was feeling really proud of himself, when all of the sudden the house was attack by something I thought was a home invasion. Darren ran outside to "protect" the family but was taking too long to come back to "save" us. So we went out to find him and instead found the neighborhood in our yard and a Harley laying on the porch. We got lucky. The damage was very minimal, just some scraches and chippped paint, and my family was safe! There's always something exciting here at the Lovin Pad!

Tabernacle of Clay

* 6:45 AM

* Jaden was freaking because he couln't find his belt.

* Allie and Graham were fighting over a Halloween magazine ( picking out $50 costumes that they have no idea their cheap mother won't buy).

* Nobody wanting to eat the cinnamon freanch toast I had just made.

* Marcie sreaming for chocolate milk.

* Are the homework folders in the backpacks?

* Lunch money friday. Do I have $5?

* Shoes on NOW!!!!

* Feeling overwhelmed by 6:45 AM

* 7:15, time for scripture

* Not feeling like reading because I'm ticked and the morning is CRAP.

* Read anyway

* Moroni 9:6

And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteouness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.

* Really, Really glad I read anyway!

Sisters...

Image ...one of the GREATEST blessings in life!

It's the Most Wonderful time of the Year-2009!

Image Marcie's first day of Preschool.

ImageGraham's first day of Kindergarden.

Image Going off to 2nd Grade

Image 4th grade??? That happened WAY to fast!
The summer was fun, I went crazy, we swam tons, the kids were getting on each others nerves, and I was totally ready for school to start. But I have to say, on the days Marcie is at preschool I don't want to be home. The quiet, empty house makes me nervous. I know I'll get use to it soon enough, but for now I kind of miss the wild summer days. On the bright side, the kids are having the time of their lives at school with all their good buddies and awesome teachers. After almost 10 years of a kid constantly with me, I am really looking forward to a few hours a week to me, myself, and TARGET!!!! It's going to be a fun year.

Thanks Heather!

My good friend sent me an email about one of her friends scary experiences with her blog. After reading it I have decided to make our family blog private. If you would like to check in on our crazy family now and then email me with your email, or leave it in the comments if you feel okay doing that.

Feaby Muffin Lovin

Image

A few weeks ago the kids gathered up all of their money and asked their Dad (not Mom) if he would take them over to Petsmart so they could buy a rodent. So, we have done critters in the past. The first was a gerbil that died of a heart attack because Sophie found it's cage and gave it a joy ride around the backyard. Second, a guinea pig that we kept for a couple months, but was soooo stinky we ended up giving it away at a garage sale. The third was a snake that Jaden got for his 8th birthday. One day he escaped his poorly devised container and we have never been able to find him (probably hiding, growing, waiting for the time to seek its revenge). The fourth was "Feaby Muffin", a cute litte dwarf hamster. You would think we (when I say "we" I really mean Darren) would have learned from our past mistakes. Well cute little Feaby lasted three weeks. The poor thing probably died because she came to the critter cursed Lovin house. The kids really did love her, and she was actually pretty cute. This is how she will be remembered...

Feaby Muffin Lovin

Will be remembered for how fast she went on her wheel.

Rest in Peace little Feaby.

Image There is nothing better than celebrating the 4th of July up in Heber with our family. We have enjoyed going so many times in the past and this was the first year we have been able to go since Marcie was born. The kids had a great time running around the field, dancing, playing with their cousins, eating snow cones & watching the amazing fireworks. Can't wait to do it next year!
