Since I am not keeping up with a baby book for the boys, I realized I needed to document something somewhere when it comes to major milestones, so here we are back with another post ;).
Tonight we moved the boys into big boy beds. I never thought this kind of change would make me sad, but turning the lights out and walking out of the room with them in these beds sure did make me a little sad and nostalgic!
Part of the reason we moved them to beds is to free up a crib for baby sister, who is on the way in October, and needs a crib for her nursery :). We also needed for the boys to be able to get in and out of bed on their own to go potty.
That is our other big milestone. Several weeks ago, I bit the bullet and started putting the boys in underwear. After two days of stress they consistently got the hang of things and I would say they are pretty well potty trained (although it is very hit or miss with #2). It's quite the adventure running around town and stopping at every available public restroom. Want to know what it's like with two 2 year olds in a public restroom? You get one on the potty trying to spray out of the toilet and the other searching for the absolute dirtiest surface he can find (usually behind the toilet) to inspect and touch with as many parts of his body as he can. And about 15 toilet flushes in a 5 minute or less period. So, yes, public restrooms are making my hair turn gray. Thank you for noticing!
I will spare you the potty pictures, but here are a few from tonight in their beds. (The lack of any kind of comforter or cute bedding would be a direct result of the fact that I do not trust that it would not get ruined with night time accidents at this point!)

Pres is in the bed on the left. Cy was very insistent they keep their same bed positions!
They both fell asleep quickly. This is Presley
We are living dangerously with Cy and hoping he doesn't roll too far to his left!
