Do Ya’juj and Ma’juj rest on their ears ?

  • STATUS : NO SOURCE

Ya’juj & Ma’juj are a sign of the hour and a terrible fitna. However do we need the following description

they are only half the height of a normal man, with claws instead of nails and a hairy tail and huge hairy ears which they use as mattress and cover for sleeping. [wikipedia]

which is completely baseless, not back up by any solid hadith ?

Acquire Knowledge from cradle to the grave, so you would know it is not a hadith

  • STATUS : Not a hadith, but true statement

“The acquisition of knowledge is from the cradle to the grave” also quoted as

“Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave”

This phrase is not a Prophetic ḥadīth. It is, therefore, not permissible to attribute it to the Prophet ﷺ as many people are accustomed to doing. Only the action, statement, or tacit approval of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) may be attributed to him as a ḥadīth.

The fabricated ḥadīth “Acquire knowledge from the cradle to the grave” is widespread. Strangely enough, books on widespread ḥadīths have not mentioned this report.

A Man disputing with Allah about his Mercy, true ?

  • Status : FABRICATED, ugly meaning

Some people who like to freestyle on this dîn in order to get popular, like to mention this report :

“If Allah questions me, I will question Him; if He asks me about my sins, I will ask Him about His forgiveness…”

This narration is a good example of the haadeeths which are obviously false and fabricated, and it displays poor style, weak composition and ugly meanings. Anyone who has any knowledge of the Sunnah and its splendour will have no doubt that this cannot be a saheeh hadeeth.

A similar false report is found in Ihya ‘Uloom al-Deen (4/130) and it says that a Bedouin said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “O Messenger of Allah, who will be in charge of bringing the people to account on the Day of Resurrection?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah, may He be blessed and exalted.” He said: “He Himself?” He said: “Yes.” The Bedouin smiled and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Why are you smiling, O Bedouin?” He said: “When the Most Generous is in a position to punish, He forgives, and when He brings to account, He pardons …”

Al-‘Iraqi said concerning this hadeeth: I could not find any source for it. al-Subki mentioned it among the hadeeths for which he did not find any isnad (chain of transmission). (Takhreej Ahadeeth al-Ihya, no. 3466; Tabaqat al-Shafi’iyyah al-Kubra 6/346).

Nevertheless, there are many texts in the Quran and saheeh Sunnah which speak of the vastness of Allah’s mercy and the greatness of His pardon, and His acceptance of repentance and His answering prayers for forgiveness.

Allah says :

“And verily, I am indeed forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them (till his death).”[Ta-Ha 20:82]

“And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins, and He knows what you do.”[al-Shoora 42:25]

“… and My Mercy embraces all things. That (Mercy) I shall ordain for those who are the Muttaqoon (the pious), and give Zakah (the poor-due); and those who believe in Our ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs and revelations, etc.).”[al-A’raf 7:156]

In Saheeh al-Bukhari (7554) and Saheeh Muslim (2751) it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah wrote down a decree before He created the universe: ‘My mercy prevails over My wrath.’” And Allah knows best.

Allah and the Angels first prayed janazah on the Prophet ﷺ ?

  • Status : FABRICATED

The claim is based on a fabricated narration attributed to Rasulullah ﷺ as follows:

فَإِنَّ أَوْلَ مَنْ يُصَلِّي عَلَيَّ الرَّبُّ مِنْ فَوْقِ عَرْشِهِ ثُمَّ جِبْرِيلُ ثُمَّ مِيكَائِيلُ ثُمَّ إِسْرَافِيلُ ثمَّ الْمَلَائِكَة…

The first to perform salah over me will be al-Rabb from above His Throne, then Jibril, then Mika’il, then Israfil, then the angels…

Ibn al-Jawzi mentions the narration in his book “al-Mawdu‘at” (The Fabrications), and says, “This is a fabricated hadith that cannot be sound. May Allah punish the one who fabricated it, and may He curse those who undermine the shari‘a with such nonsense and words which do not befit Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) or the Sahaba. The one who is accused of fabricating the narration is ‘Abd al-Mun‘im ibn Idris.

Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (rahmatullahi ‘alayh) said, ‘He (‘Abd al-Mun‘im ibn Idris) used to tell lies against Wahb.’

Imam Yahya (rahmatullahi ‘alayh) said, ‘He is an evil habitual liar.’

Imam Ibn al-Madini (rahmatullahi ‘alayh) and Abu Dawud (rahmatullahi ‘alayh) said, ‘He (‘Abd al-Mun‘im ibn Idris) is not trustworthy.’

Imam Ibn Hibbaan (rahmatullahi ‘alayh) said, ‘It is not permissible to quote what he (‘Abd al-Mun‘im ibn Idris) narrates as evidence.’

Imam Al-Daraqutni (rahmatullahi ‘alayh) said, ‘He and his father are to be rejected.’”

It is clear that the narration is utterly false, blasphemous, and absurd. It is not permissible to relate it. No need to lie on Allah in order to show the greatness of Nabi ﷺ.
