Holy Blogging...

Don't give up on me... I know it has been over 2 months now but I just did like 4 posts to make up for it. So just keep reading and enjoy.

Life with us

Well this is just us on a normal day to day basis... I am still at my salon and loving it. I just work Wed, Fri and Sat. It is sooo perfect. The girls I work with are all awesome and great stylists as well. Drew is still loving his job as well. He is doing great so I am sure that helps. Aiden is just going to school and trying to keep up with Abby when he is here. He is such a good big brother and kid. He can't wait for school to be out so he can just play all day long. What kid isn't? He loves coming over and is always such a big help. He is learning how to shoot baskets and loves to be outside playing with his friends in the neighborhood. Last but not least... Abby... what isn't she into. She knows how to say her name, mine, no no no no, bite, mama, dada, buba, down, and kind of Jesus. Well that is what we understand anyhow. She can go up and down the stairs, walk all over the place, run, climb on the fireplace bench, read books, have you read her books, and play with Cooper. I could go on and on and on. I swear she is the busiest kid. She has some mad dance skills. Her faces and the funniest things I have ever seen. I will have to post the pictures I have. If you can't tell she keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh all day long. I love my perfect little family.

Palm Springs

What a trip this was... We decided last minute to go down to Palm Springs to help my Mom with her annual conference that she puts on. It was a really fun trip and we were able to see my Aunt Judy and Uncle Gary, Kelly and D and Kids and of course my parents. We decided to drive the 12 hrs and boy oh boy will we reconsider doing that again. I don't know how my sister does it with 6 kids... we only had Aiden and Abby and Abby was the biggest pain. She hated being in her car seat and would whine and cry the whole time. We were about 30 min outside of Palm Springs on our way down and she was sooo done with being in there that she was screaming at the top of her lungs then threw up all over the place. Drew pulled over and had to clean her seat and the car while i wiped her down. Aiden was dry heaving the whole time. It was so funny. I worked pretty much all day long and then we would go to dinner at night and come home and crash. Drew got to golf a couple times during the trip so he was happy. Sad part about it all is that we didn't get any pictures of while we were there. We decided that on the way home we would split the trip up. We stopped off in Mesquite and stayed at a hotel called Falcon Ridge. When we checked in the guy told us we had a hot tub in our room. When we got in there it was a big jetted bath tub. Well we made the best of it and all jumped in. It was so fun to be in there but man was is cramped. The kids loved it and got in twice while we were there. All in all it was an awesome trip and so nice to be with my family.

All of us crammed in there

Abby's 1st Birthday

Well wow here she is 1 years old... and boy does she know it now. She is the most independent, lovable, funny, busiest, and craziest 1 year old I know. She cracks us up all day long. I know I am a bit behind on posting these but better late than never. For her birthday we had some friends over and she had her favorite homemade Mac n Cheese with Jello. She loved being able to feed her self and thought she was on top of the world. Her friends gave her a leap frog toy, some books, magnets for the fridge and her Nana and Papa gave her a blow up house that is filled with balls. She loved it. Thanks to everyone that came and participated.

Christmas day

It was an awesome Christmas I must say. We had Aiden stay with us over night and it was so much fun to have him wake up here at our house on Christmas morning. Him and Abby came down the stairs and were so excited about what Santa brought. Then we opened presents and I have to say that watching them is the best thing. Seeing how excited they get was worth every penny. All in all it was a great year. Drew got me a Flip video camera HD. It is amazing. I am going to see if I can upload some videos on here. Good bye 2010 Hello 2011.... Great year ahead!!!

Abby hasn't been in the snow yet to play but the other day when we had out blizzard Drew took her out the feel it on her face. They were only out there for a min but Abby loved it. She kept going to the door and pounding on it. As you can tell she is mesmerized by it. Love her face!!

Just call her Miss Piggy...

Well let me tell you about my weekend... it started on Fri with Drew getting Bronchitis. He was super sick and was at the urgent care all night. He was still not feeling to great the rest of the weekend... Then came Sund. We were at church and right in the middle of me teaching Primary Abby started to cough a little and get a runny nose... Well about an hour later it got worse. We ended up leaving church early and went home to rest a little. Well as the day went on the worse she got. She started to get a fever and even with medicine we couldn't bring it lower than 101. She was super clingy and cuddly with us so we knew something must be up. She never does that. Well she was up all night Sund night and continued to go down hill. By Mond morning she had this awful cough and a super high fever and was almost lathargic like. She wouldn't eat or drink anything. I took her into Insta Care first thing and they tested her oxygen and it was supposed to be above 90 and hers was in the 80's. Her temp was 102.3 and she was hating life. Even the doc was worried about the way she was acting. They thought she had RSV and the flu and Bronchitis as well. Yeah she was hating life. They were about to admit her to the hospital then decided to send us home with some meds to see it that helped at all. We got home and an hour later she had a temp of 104.7 and that was even after she had Tylenol 45 min before... She started to get worse and wasn't really bouncing back. By this point she was so lathargic she wouldn't respond to anything. We decided to take her into the ER and they ended up admitting her into Primary Children's Hospital Mond. She still had a fever of 104.1 when we got there and she was soooo dehydrated that when they put the IV in she cried but had no tears coming out. She almost acted like she was in a coma in the way that she was just limp. Anytime I would try to sit her up she would just slump over cuz she had no energy for anything. It had been over 24 hrs since she had eaten or drank anything. We ended up staying there till Tues night and with the IV and some suction from her chest she started to get better and better. We found out that she ended up having the SWINE FLU!!!!!! I mean really? Who the heck has that now a days? It was so sad and I didn't even think to bring my camera with me. My sister in law Kathy came and brought me some lunch on Tues so she got some pictures. Abby looks about 90% better in these photos than she did on Mond. Just imagine her with her eyes half shut and blood shot, body limp, and she face so sad. It killed me to see her like that. She is doing much better now... she will let us put her down now and she will crawl over and play with some toys. Her voice is so horse that she can hardly cry still. She still has a nasty cough that wakes her up all night long. Can't wait for that to get better and get back to some full nights sleep. We have her regular doctor apt tomorrow. They told us to go see him within 3 days of being home. We will see what he says tomorrow.
