Giclée prints offer high-quality images and color fidelity through the use of high-quality inks, ensuring long-term durability.
The process is carried out by digitally scanning the work for subsequent printing with quality inkjet inks on various surfaces, from canvas to 100% cotton or photographic paper. The giclée printing process provides better color accuracy than other reproduction media as they are typically created with professional 8-12 color inkjet printers.
Serigrafía
Screen printing is a manual method of creating an image on paper by pressing ink across a screen with areas blocked by a stencil.
The image to be printed is photographically transferred to a very thin fabric (the screen) so that the non-printable areas are blocked out and the fabric serves as a template. The ink passes through the screen to pass through the unblocked pores and reach the paper. For each color to be printed, a separate screen is prepared and the process is repeated for each piece.
Risografía
Risography is a high-speed digital printing system designed in Japan in 1986. A "master" is created with the motif to be printed in which, using a thermal system, small holes are made corresponding to the areas of the image, once Placed on the drum, the ink passes through the small holes, which expel the ink onto the paper while the drum rotates at high speed, obtaining prints.
A different master is used for each color, making one pass of the paper for each ink used, so it is a semi-manual technique. The flat inks of very diverse bright colors, the warmth in the finishes, certain imperfections in the uniformity and the record, they give it a special touch.
