Our new abode

Image
We approach the house from the driveway on the side of the house.

Image
Side view of the house shows the front porch. The driveway is to the left of this picture.

Image
Front of the house

Image
Front of the house from the street. There is a significant crawl space under the house. That, coupled with the sloping yard down to the street, makes the house look like it is taller than it really is.

"Lounge room," etc.

Our living room (lounge room, as it is called)

Lounge room--note Tracey's Koala puzzle in the works.

Another view of lounge room (study area included)

Opposite end of lounge room, where the special pictures don the wall.

Kitchen and bedrooms in our home

Image
Our kitchen has pretty new white curtains. Washer and dryer are at other end.

Image
Note the "pumpkin," sometimes called butternut pumpkin.

Image
Master bedroom

Image
Closets cover one entire wall in each bedroom. Closet doors are mirrors. One door is open so you can see the built-ins. We don't even need a dresser.

Image
Tracey's bedroom--also has one full wall of closet and mirrors.

Our back yard

Image
Back of our house from the back yard

Image
Note the orange tree in our back yard--good oranges!

Image
See my laundry! (I do have a dryer, but it vents in the house--not good!)

Image
We run and walk around this park (on the "footpath"), about a block from our home, each morning. The park has several soccer/rugby fields.

Tracey has finished her Koala puzzle--1000 pieces!

Image
Tracey's shirt is a birthday gift from Sister McKnight, her special friend/senior missionary who finished her mission in February.

We must move!

Image
Now that we're gone...

Image
Time to look for another flat.

Image
The Larsens think they will just use the park bench!

Note the birthday cards, carefully arranged!

Watching for new baby bird

Image
In the middle of a large, open, grassy area, in front of our office, sits a mother bird on her nest. She has used this location for her nest, for over three years. This picture was taken July 5.

Image
The father is always nearby, and warns potential disturbers by spreading his wings over the nest, or swooping toward the person he's concerned about.

Image
Mother still on nest, baby has hatched. Date is July 30.

Image
Baby walking around while mother and father keep close eye.

Winter in the neighborhood

Image
Tulip tree in bloom

Image
The tall gum trees dwarf the homes beneath them. This is a corner "reserve."

Dinner with friends

Image
Peter and Kaye Neuenhuezen, in temple presidency, and Elder and Sister McRae, who work in the mission office

Image
We were guests for a very nice dinner.

Tracey's jigsaw puzzle of Savior and children

Image
Tracey just finished this puzzle, a gift from the Mackies.

Image
Tracey gives the puzzle to Ian and Betty Mackie.

Image
The Mackies will frame the picture and hang it in their home.
