My area is freaking out about the storms tonight, to the point where they closed the schools early. I don’t know whether it’s because the weather really is going to be that bad, or whether it’s just because I live in Maryland now and that’s how this state rolls. I’ve lived here for over a quarter-century, and I don’t think I’m ever going to get really used to how much this place freaks out about falling sky-water. Growing up on a beach really skews my views on what constitutes a ‘weather emergency.’
But if the power goes out, I guess that counts.
Savage Fest is the extremely local outdoor town event that I do every year largely because it’s nice to go out with my wife on an early summer afternoon and get some fresh air. This year it’s going to be June 6th, which means that it won’t interfere with the Maryland Pop and Horror Con (the next weekend). That’s good. I’m actually wondering now whether I should try to get any more events in during July or August, especially if a couple of other vending opportunities open up in May…
Makes sense. Everybody’s twenty-five years older now. Animation will allow us to forget that time, as they say, marches on.
But will it suck? …Probably? That’s the safe bet, at least. Deadline’s quietly not happy that Adam Baldwin’s in on this, though, so that’s a hopeful sign.
ANTHOLOGIA LICENTIAE MOETICAE comes out tomorrow! Microfiction and short-short-short stories from the early years!

I still struggle not to add the ‘The,’ by the way. My head is fighting three years of Latin classes.
