The Cases

A few weeks ago Phil had to take a work trip to Ohio- we decided last minute to make a little family trip out of it. After packing up all the gear it requires to travel with a 5 month old and a 21 month old; I wasn't too sure if the trip would be worth all the work (clothes galore, 2 car seats, double stroller, pack n' play, bottles, snacks, rice cereal, diapers galore, bibs, blankets, medicine, toys, books the works) but we had a fabulous trip and I am so glad we made the effort to take the trip.

Kimball and Luci did great on the flights. We totally lucked out and had the rows and rows on the back of the plane to ourselves to Kimball could just run around and play.

Some of the highlights from the trip were: We enjoyed walking around downtown columbus, The Columbus Zoo, and we absolutely loved Kirtland! So glad we were able to go with Phil and make such a fun trip out of this!

Kimball got so excited when we saw the bears in their cave- he kept saying "tip-toe, tip toe, tip-toe" from we're going on a bear hunt-

Poor little guy got so sick with the stomach flu the last day of the trip

Luci spent a good portion of our trip like this, she was having blow outs like crazy!! Good thing she is so cute!

Holy Smokes- Ever since I have been on Instagram my blogging has gone downhill signficantly which isn't good; since I was never great at blogging to begin with. I have been dreading blogging since I am so far behind so rather than try to catch up we will just start fresh here!

So here we go...

Luci Fever is in full swing at our house! I am absolutely in love with my little girl! She is such a sweetheart! She melts my heart everyday! She has the sweetest little personality and has just been such a great and easy baby! She is smiling and giggling like crazy these days. Kimball can get her giggling better than anyone. Hearing your kids giggling together I think is the sweetest sound in the world!

Luci's Skills:

Rolls front to back and back to front
Loves her bumbo
Loves playing on the floor with her brother
Has started eating rice cereal (when mom remembers)
Laughs giggles
Loves peek a boo
Loves looking in the mirror
Has a special little bond with her daddy... they are both pretty smitten with each other
Loves being outside
Loves to cuddle (sleeps with mom every morning from about 4am on- which for now I love!)
She discovered her voice and loves to hear herself "talk"
She will suck on anything she can get her hands on.
Loves looking at books and pictures
Very rarely will you see Luci without her thumb in her mouth- just like her mama!
Won't take a binki or a bottle to save her life!
Wakes up with the biggest smile you've ever seen every morning
(The bigger the smile the wider she opens her mouth) Its pretty funny
Loosing her hair right now (sad)
Has the chubbiest cheeks you've ever seen! People are always commenting on her lucious cheeks!
She has started going through the mama's girl phase! She always prefers her mom more than anyone! Which to be honest I love! Kimball is such a Daddy's boy right now so it's nice to get a little love my way! :)

Luci brought a little piece of heaven with her into our home and I hope it stays forever! She really makes all our lives so happy and complete! I couldn't love her more!

Kimball rules and rocks our world! He is the the most fun and adventurous little boy I have ever been around in my life! He makes everything so much more fun and hectic! Kimball is so smart and so strong! He makes our family so so lively and fun! Everyone in our ward young and old knows Kimball, and everyone absolutely adores him! He is so outgoing and makes quite the apearance at church. We are desperately working on reverence at Church, its an uphill battle.

Despite his business Kimball is also so kind and sweet. He often times will be running from one toy to the next but will stop what he is doing to run over and give me a hug and kiss totally on his own. It makes my day every time.

Kimball loves to laugh and has the most contagious little laugh, even his fake laugh which he uses all the time makes me laugh!
Kimball's hero is his Dad, the second he hears the garage go up and Phil's car drive in, he goes crazy, I am sure it is the best moment of his day!

Kimball is the best big brother a little girl could have. He is so sweet with Luci and and is always so concerned about "Sissy." Always wants to make sure she is coming with us, making sure she has enough toys, gives her way too many hugs everyday, and talks about her all the time! I love their little bond, and am excited for them to play with and entertain each other even more!

Kimball's Skills:

knows every animal sound
learning his colors
Favorite song right now is Head shoulders knees and toes (with all the actions of course)
Favorite book is "Going on a bear hunt"
Is totally obsessed with Chocolate Milk refers to it millions of times a day as Choc
Loves to be outside more than anything
Knows the names of most his cousins and Aunts and Uncles
Refers to my mom and dad as "Pa" it's pretty funny!
Loves animals of any kind, that is usually what we talk about all day, all the different animals we have seen.
Loves going to Nursery at Church, talks about it for days after "Bubbles and Fishies are his favorite parts."
Loves the movie Tangeld or "Horsey Show" as he calls it.
Loves balls and anything that is on wheels
Talks about Santa or "ho ho ho" But I am pretty sure will be scared to death of him
Kimball is a great sleeper takes about a 3 hour nap everyday!
Kimball is the best eater when he is hungry, when he's not- not so much!
Kimball finally got over his biting phase but moved right into the head butting phase-not loving that!
Every morning Kimball first wants to know where Luci is then wants to know where Daddy is then he wants to go the the Aquarium (has a slight obession with Sharks right now)
Kimball's favorite friend in the world is his monkey George. George is like my 3rd child, we talk about George, we play with george, he sleeps with George, he comes with us everywhere, Kimball even prays for George at night when he says his prayers. (its adorable)

These two little yahoos make our lives so so happy! Everyday is an adventure with these two!
